I just stick to the pinto top tie, but until something else crops up that I find as easy to setup , I will be watching this space.

good video - going to try the multi sling one - like that it can be advanced and retrieved from the ground even if through a few redirects too

 

i don't own a multi - sling, but guess its ok to put a carabiner through one ring of a cambuim saver to achieve the same reposition capability

This seems good.

Starting from 4 minutes 20 seconds.

 

The last one is what I use although I have the carabiner gates opposite each other so at least one should always be away from the stem/branch/whatever regardless of the direction of pull. Not sure if anyone else thinks that's a good idea or not but makes sense to me.

I have been using the singing tree quickie found its works really well can be a bit tight with larger diameter ropes but is handy if you want to move your tie in point.

I also have the 'quickie' . Very versatile piece of kit. A good way of replacing a running bowline or similar top tie without the side/gate loading issues of a carabiner.

This is what i am currently using, bowline on a bite, through a DMM ring, backed up with a carabiner.

I tried that today abd really liked it. I'm always wary of the carabiner side loading but this great cause its closed off.
