I have an air leak between the rubber intake boot and the carb on a 357 xp.

I have tried allsorts to try and seal it bar replacing the grey platic flange around the boot that the bolts screw into- it doesnt seem to be readily available on the net.

Anyone any ideas?

Im thinking i may try and make a gasket next?

This is a regular fault. An upgraded manifold kit is available. I need to get one too.

Its nothing to do with the circular clip that attaches to the cylinder.

It already has the steel clip opposed to the plastic one, the leak i cant seem to seal is between the rubber intake boot and the carb its self.

Thanks for the reply tho.

Come on spud enlighten me :laugh1:

OK, but how does he know this is where the leak is? when i do a pressure/vac test i slacken the carb screws, place a rubber wedge between the carb and inlet boot, re tighten the carb screws.
