Yes the field to the left of the track is raised about a foot and is being sold off, anyone digging in a threshold to their plot will be digging that 300mm off and more to allow for hardcore/surface, hence the depth.

We would normally but being in chalk and trackside its full of gurt flints/rubble.

We have been on this estate for about ten years now, its like some of the others we do I don't think we will ever escape.

i think it's great as it's more or less guaranteed work and ya can almost 'count your chickens' etc.

A lot of trust and respect needed on both sides of the fence with this sort of work, it’s no open cheque book. These customers are also friends, most of the work is discussed in restaurants, last time out four of them got me seriously bladdered.:beerchug:

We had the top of one of the tracks we built surface dressed last year, was back there yesterday so took some snaps. The befores are a few pages back.
