got one on a jinmi 254, cracking winch, pulls above its spec, but as was said earlier be carfull about birdnesting the winch line, dont know whether its the type of cable there supplying or the way it spools on, I suspect the cable because the other winch setup, a tajfun, looks identical, but is using cable that came from clarkes, and never had a problem with that

I did have one incident with the the wire 'birdnesting' (first time I heard that used for this and I like it!). I was pulling a fallen tree down a slope and it slid towards the redirect point. This caused the cable to bird nest and get tangled around itself and jam. A bit of a fecker to untangle in the field. This was early on and I don't think the brake was tight enough. Slight adjustment and it hasn't happened again since.

35 M | Series M | Products | Uniforest d.O.o.

About to pull the trigger on this winch. For use on my Kubota stv36

Weight is right, around 250kg, I don't need all the hydraulics as I'm not a forester. So I plumped for mechanical.

It'll be for back leaners and the odd bit of forwarding.

Anyone use one and has experience/strong feelings about them?

You already know my opinion.

But for the record, for us it was game changing investment coupled with our 26hp JD1026 equipped with a grab bucket.

This year on one of the bio-mass leylandii jobs we skidded the trees the full 70m of cable to the loaders station.

We welded a tow hitch centrally on ours.

You'll not regret it Mick.

Don't do it!!

Get the tajfun version instead. The dealer is sooooo much better. There's not much to go wrong with the winch but even so why take the chance of terrible service? The tajfun will be near enough the same price and the dealer is excellent.

I wouldn't buy another uniforest unless they get a new importer.

Great picture Mick, I'm glad it arrived safe. Lets us know how you get on

Tom, your winch will be sorted asap. Following last weeks conversation and emails I just need that email confirmation from you on the additional parts you require to the wiring loom. :thumbup1:

Have a good weekend all,
