after much deliberating, mainly down to price!i took delivery of my new 441 last week, spent last sat breaking it in and used it none stop all week, very happy.

460 is a great saw, one chap i worked with, changed the pitch to .404 the different sprocket size gives a faster chain speed apparently so for the weight of it it cuts real good.

got ms460 a bit ago, had it ported straight away (stihl part) and re-tuned as seen until recently on pete's saw (mc'sheffry) then managed to drop the beast onto a well placed brick and cracked the tank underneath..which is the whole body and rear handle.. fixed within 2days at local stihl dealer, well happy with saw, powere through anything..Ed

They are a nice strong saw,use a bit of mix,pull a 25 inch bar no worries,and not too heavy when chogging down a trunk.

Good reliable saw.

awfull anti vibes and bad fuel economy I do like em though! damn fine rip snorting power house though,tryed a 441 very nice smooth saw i would take that over it ....you cant put a price on preventing white finger and the fuel economy pays for it self!

I will say after i stopped using saws like the ms460 my joints in my fingers feel a lot better....just need stihl to sort the anti vibes on the 200t!

 

Or buy a solo 637 top handle

is there a problem with the chain oiler on these? the first bar on it kept going tight on nosewheel, finally got mad n bought a new bar, that has nipped up twice in last week too, only a few weeks old (bar i mean).? oh its 25inch..Ed

Not that I'm aware of; in fact I thought the 'older models' such as the 460 had good oilers? 361 an example of a low flow oiler; saying that mine today with 25" didn't exactly pee oil all over the place...
