Builders bags

Does anyone know of a good supplier for bulk buying builders ton bag rubble bags for firewood. The cheapest I can get them is £3.50 per bag.

Ive used this seller and the bags are fine. Does some other sizes too.

try dewsons the builders i get them for 1.50 each

or your local skip merchant (free) there just pleased to get rid of them

Contact all your local builders, down here in the south east all they do is take up skip space.

 

If it's the same where you are then the builders will be glad to give em to yer:thumbup:

 

Mind you, not much gets given away up there does it!

Try Travis Perkins get mine for nout they are only pleased to get rid of the old rtg bags as they wont use them again. Whilst you are there ask them for some old pallets so you can store a log filled dumpy bag off the ground and the air flows round the base of the bag instead of sucking the dammp up.

but you will have problem with mould if storing green logs as these bags are not vented.

 

if using secondhand bags, make slits in the sides first with a stanley knife. not a perfect solution and your milage will vary.
