Although I have to pay tradesmen x amount up front before starting building work to part cover the cost of material etc. TBH I suppose it isnt a bad idea to at least charge a percentage as AHHHHP mentioned.

I agree with that. You will probably struggle to get permission due to health and safety etc. No one is really going to grant permission to go and climb as they would get sued to death if something bad happened. I did a bit of rec climbing in the local woods while training in college, just make sure you have someone to spot you at the very least.

As above, just soap and water then an airline. If that doesn't remedy the issue then I'm thinking of a replacement.

That day didn't go as planned! Did the Disco but it needs a tyre and wheel alignment so left it at home and went back to Retford in the toy car and got a puncture half a mile out! Dear tyres those Hoosiers too! Then sat deciding where to get for a drink but got called to the FIL's, he has cancer and is bad! Waited for ambulance and now sat waiting for news! Tom coming up tomorrow in truck with Jack to collect wheel which means I'll have driven over 300 miles buggering about!

I have done a fair bit of rec climbing in the past. I have been kicked out of my local park when I lived in Lewisham. I was only trying out a new bit of kit and was only 3-4 metres of the floor. The Narky Parky had a right go at me saying I was damaging the tree. He worked for Glendale. I told him the bad pruning done by Glendale tree crews caused far more damage than I would that day. We also used to go onto a public footpath across some parkland near a mates in Maidstone. There were some lovely large oaks so one day we climbed them, just got all the ropes setup and the land owner happened to be walking his dog. He kicked us off the land politely. Something about liability and if we hurt ourselves etc. My advice would be to get permission first, saves a lot of hassle or just get in with it and be prepared for the consequences.

I do it sometimes where it's not even necessary for my protection - to normalise it. I'm fed up hearing about scum clients taking tradesmen for a ride so I'm nudging the market towards being safer for us. Similar activism as charging what I dayrate charge for freelance climbing (usually starts with a 4 or 5, sometimes a 3 or 6). I decided rates were a piss-take and I was going to push them up. You're welcome. Or I'm a chancer. Whichever.
