  2. How is that you get to leave chip onsite, is it working commercial jobs in woodlands/railways etc? Can't imagine domestic customer would take it much?
  3. Looking at taking a jump into Arb/Forestry work. I’ve been out the Royal Engineers for 3.5 years now and work in manufacturing. I'm looking at someone taking a punt on me to train me up and take me on. I understand this is a risk and a hefty investment. But I thought I’d try anyway. If you know anyone in the County Durham area willing to take me on or you are that person wanting to take someone on then please let me know. Thanks
  4. Leylandii are a law unto themselves. They can turn their toes up on a whim, or return to greenery over a long, long period. I agree with you about those ones, I wouldn't rate their chances, and even if they did recover , they're not particularly impressive things anyway. I can think of a lot better replacements, Laurel would work if you just wanted evergreen cover that can be controlled.
  5. Well, given it a bloody good clean, and I think it's mechanical. Weird, as never had an issue with Ali crabs
  6. How long have you had the 300 and how do you like it?

    PayPal

Personally, I would set up a Paypal account. I use Paypal regularly to buy and sell things. I would be reticient to use it as a soul source of payment, but it has its moments. Just add on any merchant fees to your fee.
  8. I for some reason had it in my head that the 400 came on 325 as standard. I appear to be wrong. Good. .325 is annoying. Always grated that my 261 was on it. Glad to see you're living life on your terms.
  9. I've had someone pay me through PayPal, and the money was done through there wallet version...it pissed me off as id invoiced him and id not known what what he paid me ... thankfully his fkd off back to London now
  10. Fairly sure it's the standard 3/8. Its little sister, the amazing 261 is running on 3/8, as is my MSA 300. I know there's a trend to fit smaller gauge chains, usually on the smaller saws.
  11. .325 or 3/8?
  12. Hush now, he is only knarky that this government has gone behind the Brexiteers backs and actually talked nice to the EU, and the French
  13. On the rare occasion I was forced into railway stuff cos I had no other work, the ability to roll a decent joint was always considered a desirable skill. I know guys who do it, I know they wouldn’t be doing it for the minimum wage that’s for sure.
  14. What is brown probably won't grow back again satisfactorily if at all, if that helps you. (Your neighbour might like you a bit more too if they are replaced with something more manageable, kept to fence height unless you want privacy from the overlooking window)

    PayPal

Paypal is safe and easy to use - as a business and as a customer, protections on both sides - not really a question on that though, more business management. I guess the plus sides are the customers are used to paying for stuff with their phones - click a paypal link, job done where bank transfer - a slight extra hassle putting in all the account numbers. On the other side though, for a one off it is probably a few evenings work setting it all up as a business account, working out the transfer from paypal to business account - stuff like that. I'd be polite and say sorry, your business isn't able to accept paypal payments but the options are.... Air miles.... I've never bothered but what is the saving in £1400 worth of airmiles? £15 maybe? They might go for the next quote, a higher one no doubt, to collect the air miles but will be paying far more for that than any savings in ticket prices.

    PayPal

I'm not disagreeing at all, It was a joke. I thought the little laughing heads would give it away.
  19. Better than it was. Brexit: I'll give you £2 and you give me nothing back.
  20. Sorry, no piccies, but this wasn't a planned event. Storm damage. A whacking great tree fell down across the road about half a mile from me, stopping the dearly beloved and I from going shopping. Cue turning round, and throwing some kit in the van, and going off to help the neighbours deal with the damage. I expected a fairly quick job, but it ended up taking a couple of hours, we only had pallet forks on the teleporter, and I had left the ideal strap for the job out of the van. The more I cut, the more the scale of the job became apparent, luckily nobody was hurt by the falling tree, and no significant damage occurred. ( Metal gate, postbox, and Blue Bin ). Neighbour's weaponry was an MS 250, they were mightily impressed by a 400 with a 20" bar on, especially as the stem was nearer 30" in places. Road is now open again, so all good.
