alles ist gut. Understood. Safety is No1. I have had no cause to question my Mill or its engineering before. Both were second hand ( not new) where yours does look new. I would be asking my dealer this question.

I understand. Since its chainsaw mill I should expect and accept offsets of the parts necessary to assemble this mill carrying a 91,1cc 5,4kW chainsaw. If 6 machine screws are the nominal value, why shouldn't 5 screws to the trick. Good on you, laughing at a legitimate safety concern.

Apologies I might have been unduly harsh. I have not had any issue with nuts bolts of hex sockets on any of the mills I have or had.

Hello Bot I have owned and used a Logosol M8 and have a big mill. Both produced timber of suitable quality. It IS NOT a BANDSAW and and cannot be compared as such. Quality is extremely high in comparison to other offerings from the far east.

Danny's funeral was hard, I've an emotional streak that surfaces easily! I can be hard nosed and tough at times but tearful at some stuff. His widow and two daughters plus myself and other SIL, met the hearse, had the harrowing view of them touching the coffin etc and really had to think of other stuff to halt me from breaking down. The walk into the church in front of the coffin in front of 250 plus people was tough. His grandson, Joe, read "If" by Rudyard Kipling with great dignity and the graveside thing was heartbreaking too. Wake across the road in the local was good with decent food etc and several pints and a laugh with a few other folk was fun but the day seems empty now!

I was working at a house just down the road from me last week. The owner keeps bees, has 15 hives and has a wild bee hive in his barn wall, which was where we were having lunch. The bees were being predated by Asian Hornets, the bastards hover at the entrance and snatch the poor drones as they leave the nest, clip off their wings and carry them off to their young. They are pretty aggressive in comparison to the European relatives which are pretty passive, and I have clear felled whole blocks of Sweetchestnut around nests in the past, even climbed past nests without issue, felling the tree would get proper on their tits though, he is a lucky boy.

Still don't make up for a under par production quality of the saw sled and machine screws. By the way, it's not really possible to set up precisely if you're on your own. The advertisement showing an ultra portable and easy set up is false. It takes a lot of time and helping hands. All in all, the quality of the simplest components make me feel unsafe using this sawmill alone in the woods!

I disturbed some with a leaf blower while on the roof of mum and dad's house earlier this year. Was tied on to the chimney. Had to start thinking along the lines of unclipping so I could jump down onto the patio if needed. Massively unfunny.

Dropped a big oak this morning with a GRCS and 5:1 twin pull. A minute later Ross Smith got nailed by hornets on his arm and nose. Nest in a cavity about 25’ up, which he had climbed past to set the lines. Called in a mate who does pest control, no option but to spray them.
