I eat lead shot pheasant once or twice a day. Only when I'm not eating bacon once or twice a day of course.

If I can get hold of one I could have a play, the cells will be worth something to me. -
No, they are little hand held probes for pin pointing where a bit of metal is in the soil after first roughly "finding" it with a metal detector. Pro-Pointers | Metal Detector Pinpointer and Accessories GARRETT.COM Check out our Pro-Pointers at Garrett Metal Detectors! These metal detecting accessories ensure your precise locating and... A good one, my knock of clone is good for finding dropped nuts an bolts but not lead shot. The risk with lead shot is ingesting it and this is one reason game shops cannot sell all the pheasant that are shot, the advice is only to eat lead shot pheasant once a month ( same as bacon??). It is more of a problem if slow cooked in an acidy sauce, not so much if roasted. Generally acids dissolve metal oxides more than metals so it is probably the surface layers of the pellet that have corroded that get ingested. If we get steel shot (and maybe tungsten??) then the shot is likely to be bigger (because it is less dense and will lose too much energy if the same size as lead shot) and more detectable and less poisonous but it will break teeth where lead will not. a brace of pheasant stewed like this will make 4-6 meals for two of us. is

Maybe during the Cold War when west Germany was littered with NATO forces including our own BAOR it was literally ready to fight at a few hours notice. Nowadays I’m not sure, we in particular just don’t have the armed forces anymore and is the leadership and political will there ?? . 4 years in and it’s still nothing more than wind and piss about increased defence spending. Right now the USA calls the shots, Europe including the UK only has themselves to blame.
-
I personally think the whole nato thing is a massive bluff that’s yet to be put to the test other than against small countries that are considered a walkover
-
The safety guarantees didn’t do them any favours in 2014. Probably an easier agreement to get out of Steve rather than abandoning a fellow NATO Member.

Am I being thick? What’s the actual difference 🙄 Volodymyr Zelensky is to give up his ambitions for Ukraine to join Nato – in exchange for security guarantees from the US and Europe. While the tasteful period of time expires and everyone can then get to deporting foreigners, criminals, foreign criminals etc, I'll get in first with my cause. The Australian state bars people from carrying firearms for self defence. Let's say there were 1000 jews in the park. Let's say it was all families of husband + wife + two kids. 250 men. The jews know everyone hates them. They're also fighters. If 10% of the 250 men there were carrying, that would be 25 armed men. That's a platoon. If the 2 chancers knew what they might be up against, would they have done it? I suspect only if they wanted to appear on the front page of Jew Today, full of holes, under the headline, 'DON'T MESS WITH JEWS.' Death toll currently 15. We can safely assume all 15 of them were praying for the (armed) police to arrive in seconds, not minutes. At least some of them will have been crouched behind a bin, thinking, "Christ. I need a gun, now. And some politician (with armed guards that the little people pay for) will look into the eyes of their widows, widowers, orphans etc and say no. Indefensible.

Stihl comms fit straight onto petzl lids. The stihl comms are good, but have one major issue, that being when your phone rings (assuming it's connected) it mutes your mic.. so you can be mid way through some important instruction, winch or rigging commands etc, have a phone call and it cuts your mic out. Utterly shit idea. If you do take the call you also still have all the other chat/noise coming into your speakers as well, also shit.

Personally, it would restore my faith in humanity somewhat if it turned out to be an "Ahmed". As long as he wasn't just embarrassed about the clumsy mass shooting and wanted to show the shooter hope it was done...
-
Evening all, I know its been asked a fair few times but here goes. We currently use the cheaper motor bike intercom system but looking to upgrade to either 3m litecom or the stihl coms. We have a mix of protos and petzl helmets just looking for people's experiences with attaching them and general use. We mostly work on the rail and use them in the digger/climbing/grounds if that makes any difference. Cheers

It was very impressive to say the least. Big respect to that man. 💪 I hear that he took a couple of bullets from the shooter on the bridge but is doing good.

Wordle 1,639 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜🟨⬜ 🟩⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟩⬜🟩⬜⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩⬜ 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Speed wordle this evening, that was all of a minute.

Read that as well. Wait and see I guess.

That's weird. Any idea why there's such conflicting information? Couldn't get much more different in terms of names, and inferred heritages. I've not been following the story closely.
-
Now he’s a Lebanese Christian to add to the mix 😃
-
What pin pointer, cable detector in walls kind of thing you mean? Mine was reasonably expensive, but never seems that effective, on much bigger bits of metal than 3mm lead balls.
-
Lots of confusion about his identity on twitter, some saying he’s as you state, some saying he’s called Edward Crabtree.
-
Guessing he doesn't drink, but yeah, massive credit where it's due. 'Hero' who wrestled gun from Bondi shooter named as Ahmed al Ahmed WWW.BBC.CO.UK Eleven people were killed in the shooting at Australia's Bondi Beach, as crowds attended an event to celebrate Hanukkah.
-
I dare say it might have been prudent to completely neutralise the threat. Especially with another shooter at play. There's a saying amongst 2A advocates in the states: "I'd sooner be judged by twelve than carried by six" Fair okay to that bloke though. He'll never pay for a drink again.

It was a warranty job but no manufacture seems to want dodgy batteries sent back to them so they all live outside in a metal box until I figure out what to do with them! -
Very good point.
