Help with ring damaged tree please
CarpeDiemBill replied to CarpeDiemBill's topic in Tree health care
Thanks. It was a momentary lapse of concentration and I just caught it. I've packed the soil up a little more. the strands that are growing out of the join.... I was concerned that is some sort of fungus infection.... but it kind of looks like I've caused it to root from where the damage is. Amazing that plants can do that -
I appreciate you quest for truth. But you’re watching them the wrong way round.

Steve. You need some anti-robot measures. Like the children from Equilibrium who can spot sense offenders.

I watched the reboot (semi prequel really) and OG 2 and 3 last week. The original tonight and then I shall pass judgement.

Aye. Good gruel vibes. Delicious though. Bit of leek wouldn't have harmed.

They dont seem very common over here. I've never seen one, but a few arboretums list them so might be worth a visit. Theres a few uk nuserys with them listed if you wanted to buy saplings.

Accepting clean, solid timber suitable for woodworking projects. Prefer seasoned or freshly cut hardwood logs (oak, ash, elm, walnut, beech, sycamore, etc.) and softwood logs in good condition. No brash, clippings, or chip waste please — only usable wood that can be milled into slabs or boards. Access available for tipping by van or pickup, with space to unload larger logs.

Interesting thread. Cattle are the answer - Galloways and their cousins Belted Galloways are particularly effective - apparently. Farmers trial use of livestock to control bracken without chemicals WWW.FARMINGUK.COM Farmers are trialling the use of livestock to control bracken without chemicals, with an ultimate aim to save costs while restoring habitats. Cattle and Bracken contd. – Bog Myrtle & Peat GALLOWAYFARM.BLOG Having recently written about cattle and bracken control, a brief follow-up is warranted after a walk across the hill last week. In one area where the cows often linger, bracken has been badly... I know that they have used them to very good effect on the Malvern Hills

I need to purchase a new knee ascender. I was wondering what the best option is? I have noticed the SAKA is the most popular but the company making it doesn't list performance specifics. My Haas has 30in of travel for good long steps. Can the SAKA beat the HAAS for efficiency on ascents? Any help with this would be appreciated.

Bacon skink. Have some potatoes of indeterminate breeding that aren’t good for mash or chips so made a chunky slurry as gaia clearly intended. Bacon, onion, chilli, garlic, salt, pepper. Cream cheese and the starchy water for the slop element. Thyme for a bit of sweetness. That’s the next few weeks sorted until the pheasants come on.

Just approaching Glencoe Pete, then up to Ardnamurchan.

Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter, from the local WalMart: Dear Mrs. Harris: Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion, in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to, ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras: June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. We don't have a Code 3. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. August 14: Moved a, 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while, loudly humming the, 'Mission Impossible' theme. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his, 'Madonna Look' using different sizes of funnels. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' October 22: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed; 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' Took a box of condoms to the checkout clerk and asked where is the fitting room? And last, but not least: 16. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile; then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.

Thanks folks. Yep, I found that 50 page booklet - I was hoping asking on here might be a shortcut to reading it cover to cover! (especially as it's a non-searchable pdf.) But direct advice from experience is usally better than FC advice imo as well. Or useful alongside. Glyphosate: i'm trying not to use it at all. I'm interested in views on whether Kerb (propyzamide) is any less, or more, evil than glyphosate???
