Using Ecoplugs on side growths and suckers

because the original aim was subsidence mitigation - imagine 10 years regrowth that thing would be sucking up water like there's no tomorrow My suggestion is buy 5l of glyphosate 360g/l pry, scrape off ivy all around trunk at 1.5m high drill 10mm holes at 45 degs downwards, 60mm deep, 30mm apart in a complete circle around trunk, use a 100ml syringe with plastic tube to fill the holes nearly to top with 50% solution diltuted with preferably rain water, but hard tap water would work May be cheaper than ecoplugs - and either method will work best in growing season, right now probably still ok, or April. You need to take care with mixing and applying strong glyphosate -
Give an example please.

Something very simple I've noticed over the years, that seems to significantly help new, or less confident potential customers, to instruct tree work: Breaking down the quotation into a couple of component prices (especially with a low-ish cost prep/preliminary item of work, first ), seems to relax them. I guess they get to see that we're not a bunch of cowboys, and I get to see how good they are at paying bills !

Not the best footage, taken on our evening stroll with the dog, the wing shape, flight pattern and the call gives them away. IMG_7166.mov

I would say it is definitely Paulownia tomentosa.

Anyone had any experience with the fae mulcher - it’s to go on a 8t machine. TIA

Think leaves are wrong shape, and not fluffy.

Spiders funnel website not snakes , but it would be interesting to see how many had !
-
Because its mega expensive and has a short shelf life? Honestly never heard of any Arbs getting bitten by snakes, loud noises scare them off apparently.

I believe I've decided on the extendable combination ladder type. Trying to decide which brand and what size to get but likely the 8 rung. A frame max height of 4m and fully extended its 8.4m.

Obviously, so why aren't arb trucks fitted with a mini fridge for viles of it, should anyone come into contact with it

Thanks wallyrobinet for the point about drift. Am trying to finish off the trunk but save the ivy that is covering it, plus surrounding hedge. Steven P, I have followed your advice over the season - with secateurs, not shears - but wouldn't advise it for a large stump. It's a big tree (3m high and feels like about the same wide...) and shooting all over, including from side shoots. Half a dozen-odd shoots appear for every one we cut. Much of the new growth is virtually impossible to get at through the ivy stems. If I'd known how hard it was I'd have had more of a go at the insurers. They refused to pay for a second go, and suggested we prune it 'as part of the hedge'. Clearly they have NO idea of how fast a lime tree grows. So Ecoplugs it must be.
