  1. Past hour
  2. How dare you? Yeah, most are obviously of that ilk. Although I do believe that there are a few on the sidelines who are motived and well informed. The problem is that they don't get anywhere in this foolhardy new world of personality politics.
  3. Could be all sorts, when the truth is out will those who've called me out apologise? Will they feck, they think they above that sort of nonsense.
  4. I’ve had brakes and every thing heat up on 6400 when the brake servo has started to fail.
  5. Nah, not this lot, not so much. It'll be making the big oil and gas companies a fat wad though that's for sure.
  6. Guessing she was of Cantonese heritage. As are all Chinese takeaways here. North Eastern Chinese food is very different, Szechuan kind of thing. More chillies and other interesting stuff like Sichuan Pepper. Less controversial stuff like grubs. As an aside, she doesn't cook much at all, I do most. So when I say Chinese I mean my approximation of it.
  7. Could be true, could be Chinese whispers. They are a business and you can't blame them if they are lying through their back teeth about it. Their income is about to drop off a cliff next week.
  8. Yeah, but you weren't there man!
  9. I had a Chinese girlfriend. She cooked me some “authentic” Chinese food; “not like that nonsense you get in takeaways.” It was dreadful stodge. I much preferred the nonsense her parents cooked at their takeaway.
  10. Well, yes. 2 busses turned up, shortly after 60 odd cleaners were wandering the site with hoovers. Seen it happen on most of the sites we've been to. Outside of cleaning time residents mostly fitted the demographic of the local population. So yes. Of course, might be that they were migrants housed on site who were very particular about cleanliness but I'll go for an explanation that fits what I saw better.
  11. 1 1/2
  12. I’m sure you’ve said before or given it away elsehow, is there any Chinese in your household?
  13. No no. That was a straight answer. I’m (moderately) interested to see if it’s true. I can well believe it.
  14. I'm not sure if that's sarcasm or not, mark my words.
  15. Pork. And beans Chinese style.
  16. There you go. That’s straight-talk.
  17. Yes.
  18. Well go on then. Did the people who work there tell you directly that they had seen with their own eyes two buses of wogs the other day?
  19. Do you believe thus?
  20. On Australians, the internet pushed me a video the other day about a union of sheepshearers being unhappy about some upstart using a wider comb to shear sheep faster. They were bellends.
  21. It’s also the last week of the school holidays. Apart from the occasional Northern Soul weekender etc, these places become deserted for large periods. Why wouldn’t Haven cash in on the lucrative tax payer funded free for all?
  22. Today
  23. Brace yourself.. reply incoming shortly.
  24. They wouldn't be able to afford me.
  25. So typically the holiday resorts are cleaned by people, these people do not live on site, but are - get this - bussed in in the morning - they then do cleaning. One thing that has struck me when we were having a break at some is that the cleaners tend to be coloured - African or Asian descent. So I guess if you were just passing the bus stop in the morning, a coach pulls up, 30 coloured cleaners get off I can see how you can be mistaken. Might be that if the observer was particularly stupid and not checking things out they'd go to the press with a poor photo and a bad observation - and the press, willing to sell papers to the idiots would go with the story without checking it out. Typically holiday parks are run on a tight budget, do not have the cash set aside to pay fines for employing workers illegally - these bussed in workers are there legally and there, on minimum wage, to clean up others shit. Cannot afford cleaners stealing either, all will have been checked out properly. Might be an observation on UK society on a whole but the only people wanting to clean up after others are immigrants, 'we' don't want to do it... and until we do we will need low paid immigrants willing to graft to make a better life for themselves.
