Now I've Seen Everything

Guys lose their lives every year in equatorial climbs, trimming the dead branches of palm trees. Apparently the weight of the mass of dead fronds can weight over a ton, and when fronds underneath are removed, the mass can shift - pinning the climber to the stem and suffocating him. Not sure I can visualise this properly, but it certainly happens.

So they have invented a remote controlled frond remover.

Hah!

I'd like to try bungeeing two radio control trucks together on the trunk. With peeling knives dragging from the leading edges of the drive wheel bumpers.

Steer left to ascend, steer right to come down.

I suspect to be commercially successful would require shielding the apparatus inside a break apart plastic cone.

First guy who designs one that kicks butt's gonna be a millionaire, cuz there's millions of em!
