Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hello,

any opinion on the Jeep Grand Cherokee (around 2005-2008 models)? Going to be be partly used as a family wagon and partly for work use, mainly towing the heavier (2500-3500) kit. 3.0 CRD diesels look like good value.

Anyone know much about them?

I run a 2.7crd chipped to 200hp, comfy, quick, grunty, it has a turning circle (as opposed to the maneuvering Acre many other 4x4s need) fairly economical (near 30mpg average overall) all the toys, well built (in Austria, with German engine), 3 lsd's means actual 4wheel drive!.

I've not had any issues with the brakes, but I did put on some ebc pads on as soon as I got mine ?

Seriously good value imo, but I've not owned one of the newer ones.

I've had two Jeep Grand Cherokee's diesel limited the first one we had for 9yrs only small wear and tear problems sold it with 136,000 miles on the clock

The current one Is grand Cherokee overland 2.7crd only problem I've had with this one so far is injector seals apparently this is a common fault with this Mercedes engine

So if you want a luxury 4x4 with all the bells and whistles at a fraction of the price of a Range Rover then go for it
