stihl ms200t crankcase Help !

Im am struggling to get my crankcase apart !! could anybody tell me the best way to split the crankcase, is there a specific tool i could use ?

The people at stihl tell me- a few gentle taps wit a rubber mallet and it should come apart. It's not working for me !

There are 8 holes in the gasket, have you taken 8 screws out?

think there is one hidden screw behind a plastic plug as HA said should be 8 screws

have you had the chain catcher off as theres a screw behind that

The smart money is on the one behind the rubber connector the oil pump pushes in to......and not the pickup pipe end:001_rolleyes: Just pop the rubber bung out and remove the last bolt:thumbup:

Stihl done it on purpose, it's a game of hide and seek.

 

They hide the screws, you find them. Lol.
