Big acorn in oak and a cute bear

The acorn was a last minute commission for the big boss at a local firm, Acorn Insurance, a birthday present from staff.
Carved from a really clean oak log, the acorn was 18" long.

The bear I did last week in between jobs. Roughly 3ft tall in Corsican pine with redwood heart. For sale if anyone is interested.

Re: Big acorn in oak and a cute bear

I'm the world's worst appreciator of art I'm afraid; the bear is OK (by my poor standards) but the acorn is great - love it.

Not intended to be a barbed compliment; I just have no taste in art!
