Used to use one when I drove them for a living.

If it's for occasional use in the yard then providing it's in reasonable nick should be fine.

The one I used had gear lever on the floor and separate mast and fork carriage levers as opposed to column change and joystick so it wasn't that nice to drive.

If your not in it all day every day it should be fine for a yard machine.

If you going to spend a fair bit of time in it try and find one with the modern controls as they are much quicker and easier.

Hope this helps

Been using one for tree work for 11 yeRs she's a bit tiered now and will be due an upgrade this year. That said a lovely simple machine to drive and to fix. The outside is strong with good metal mud guards and will handle a nock or two. If you going to use it on the road a lot I would look at something newer!

I would say a proper old school machine . Yes later machines are nicer to use but full of electronics and joy sticks which are expensive to replace when they go wrong. I have an old 525 b with big wheels on the front and it does us proud looking to upgrade to a newer machine with 4 wheel steering.

looked @ 1, today needs a few jobs doing ,main thing is the 3, main ram are leaking ,are they a pain to repair ,are they 4,speed or 3,speed,

If it's just the seals it shouldn't be too bad. A good plant fitter would replace them in a morning.

All of the JCB telehandlers I've used are 4 speed.
