1. Have you got a phone number I'm quite local to you cheers kev
2. I've just bought a county with a igland 8002 remote control winch, if I was to take it off and sell it what do they fetch I've tried watching ebay but haven't seen any I wouldn't mind putting a 3pl back on tractor cheers all
3. I've bought the fiskars x27, I did fancy a gransfors but the fiskars was getting good reviews plus it's less than half the price and I've only split a few rings with it but I'm happy with it, cheers for all info/advice
4. I've got a log splitter so it won't be used to much, I just fancied a gransfors but the best price I found on Internet £104 which seems a bit steep, I didn't realise the fiskars was as good maybe il look in to them
5. Hi all anybody know the cheapest place to get a gransfors splitting maul, or splitting axe, but think Id prefer the maul, cheers
6. I might have a go at making one of these I wanted the bags to fill flat so I can stack on pallet, but I like the sound of the ladder too so il see what's in my scrap pile and go from there:thumbup:
7. Hi all, anybody out there made their own bag filling Shute? For the small bags like you get at petrol stations b&q etc
8. I've got a fransguard 4ton on the back of mine and I've also got a boughton I would say the boughton is more for big pulls the fransguard is quicker for smaller stuff plus the rope is lighter than the boughton, only thing with the major unless you got a raised pto you have to have pto engaged to work hydraulics so just watch shaft going to winch when you picking arms up plus probably more wear on winch with pto running more, I find 4ton pull plenty behind major:001_smile:
9. I was going to use douglas as I have quite a bit around at the mo, there doesn't seem to be much interest in stakes around my way think I might be better off using it for firewood
10. Your a bit far from me, what do you usually pay for stakes?
11. Hi all just wondering if there's much call on hedging stakes, and what's the going rate? Cheers all
12. Every time I click on picture on photobucket the screen goes blank, I hate computers and I can't copy link but if you search my post garden table there's a picture best I got at mo
13. Not sure why I can't load picture but if you look at my post under garden table u will get the idea of what they like
14. [url=http://s1086.photobucket.com/user/woodcutter3/media This is one I used myself for garden table the others are the same only 2" thick
15. Hi all anyone interested in some douglas slabs 9foot long 2foot wide some a little wider and 2" thick, 6 in total make some nice work tops
16. There's not as much guards on these old ones but these are built to last and if you use them with common sense you shouldn't get a problem and it's a job to cut hedging stakes on some of the newer ones due to too much guarding but if you want this one you can have her for £450
17. I've got an old denning well made, recently been sharpened only it's a ridged table but I found it good and u can cut hedging stakes no problem, not sure where about,s you are but I would part with this one, I could post pics if your interested
18.
Hi it's Kev still interested in your boughton winch could you send me a couple of pics and give me your best price my email is cheers kev

19. I got one very good simple machine, just make sure the torque is good as that's quite expensive and a bit of work, got an albutt grab with hardox tines and she's a beast, and for the price be hard to beat:biggrin:
20. got a couple of the old ones out to work a bit:001_smile:
21. If you wanted to make it out of one slab I've got some Douglas fir slabs 2 or 3 inch thick 9 foot long about 28" wide seems quite stable, i know you wanted hardwood this may be a cheaper option
22. When you used it on 3 point linkage did you have trouble with arms lifting when spades were digging in? I think I would prefer to have it bolted solid to the rear if doing big pulls so when you get chance could you have a look at pto to see if it will come out leaving splines to slide on to pto, and I can weld mounts to back plate to bolt up to major. Cheers
