  1. Ive converted mine to pto pump it's a lot better than the tractor hydraulics, I've used a hedge trimmer pump bit over kill but plenty of oil flow:001_smile: but if you could get a pump off an old 3 point digger would be ideal and possibly tank and pipes etc make it a cheap conversion,
  2. I use them they seem to last forever, you've got to cut the sap off or they will go loose and if your really fussy cover the tops, iv'e seen old frying pan's used for this:biggrin:
  3. I know what you mean, I find if you have the saw at 90 degrees to the wood it seems to score or mark the timber, but I haven't tried using the saw with the tip facing forward I will on the next one cheers
  4. Here's some pics of some oak I cut in to gate posts using the mini mill I was pleased with how they come out
  5. Ive got a albutt grab on my loadall with hardox tines welded in you would have to do something pretty crazy to bend them:biggrin:
  6. yeah that's fine, I also have a couple of nice oak about 13foot long and 2foot across. give us a shout in the future and see if I have anything you might like.
  7. I have some more walnut and some cedar not milled, if you wanted to make a bit bigger load to make it more worth while to come down.
  8. Im located hay on wye ld3 0tb it was milled about 2 weeks ago, as for price I was hoping for £500 for the lot:001_smile:
  9. I have some walnut for sale it has a bit of ring shake but still plenty of good timber. it's in slabs of 2" and 3" one stack is just over 4 foot long and 2 foot wide and the other stack is 3 foot long and 2foot wide, there is very little sap wood nearly all heart some nice grain. If any one is interested send us a message,
  10. the tractor in the photo is from somerset originally, she's just the job on the splitter like you say good on diesel.
  11. This is a home made job, it was running off the tractor hydraulics but you needed a pretty hefty tractor if you wanted some speed, so just converted it to pto now you can run it off an old vintage with out screaming the gut's out of it just a bit faster than than idle
