I'm interested in opinions from anyone who has a 7.5t new or nearly new one.

I know what's good so I'm interested in what's bad.

Faults, reliability, dealer service etc.

Thanks.

We have a 3.5ton so can't help on bigger vehicle. However can tell you about service at dealer. We had an exhaust re-circulation light come on, wouldn't go off despite following the instructions and then the engine management light came on. Long and short of it was Isusu charged us £168 plus vat to look into it, reset the fault codes and clear the issue and wasn't covered by warranty! Servicing seems dear, we just paid £770 plus vat for year one service on a 3.5ton sorry can't help on 7.5.

Not too much success on this thread then. Lol!

Does anyone else have experience or opinions on the subject?

Thank.

Can't help too much with canter or izuzu but we have a Man TGL 8.180 bought new 7 years ago and it's been a fantastic truck and still is ,before that we had an iveco 75.e 15 not so good .Our local dealer imperial commercials are Man and Izuzu dealers our 8 weekly inspections cost £110 +vat and you've got an annual mot.

We had an izuzu 3.5 tonner and it bounced about like mad in the cab .

You'll get less mpg but this will be offset by less trips and canters if like our sprinter will be expensive to service if done through merc dealer.

Hope this helps.

I got granted an O licence on the basis of running a canter, far as i am aware canter can carry more than izuzu which is whats important. Mechanic told me izuzus are cheaper to run than mitsubishi and less to go wrong. Think Mitsubishi can legally carry 4 tonne if you get the 7c18
