Need Help, What Wood is This

Hi All,

 

My home is heated by log burners so I get through plenty of wood a year, which can become expensive. What I have tried to do is buy in most but top it up with wood that I can get hold of.

 

I am in the lucky position of having access to acres of freshly cut woodland and have started to go on weekends, but I am having trouble identifying the oak and ash. I picked a big tree that I thought was oak but im now thinking it may be Elm.

 

Here are some photos of it, if anyone can give advice on the best way to ID oak and Ash it would be appreciated.
