  1. Thing is tho having a trailer that is plated to carry more than the vehicle's maximum does technically give you the capacity to over load so it is an offence.
  2. I recently needed replacement so brought a pair at the chainsaw store after trying on 6 or 7 pairs. Very good to have access to different makes etc. The arbortec ones at hundreds of pounds didn't fit me as well as the sthil ones for 1/4 of the price. I then replicated the size I brought, got 3 more pairs online saving nearly £30 a pair which kept them under £100 each for 4 pairs . It's definitely worth going to a store first off.
  3. Well here I found a piece of crab apple without bark on when I removed the tree from a hedgerow during the winter so I kept it in the workshop. It's dried out now ... Totally random but natural
  4. Still out of season mind you..🤣
  5. Well it hasn't rained today. Probably should of been cutting but had workshop duties. I'll put 50p on it pi55init down tomorrow morning...😔
  6. I think I'll watch that when it's on... Mystery solved after Guernsey divers find missing German U-boat WWW.BBC.COM It took four years to locate and confirm the find, which has been filmed for a BBC documentary.

  8. Fair enough. Personally not had good experiences with painting stainless pipes .
  9. I think by the look of the map they're coming from Belgium....😁
  10. It doesn't really stick to the stainless very well. I would just fit black pipe
  11. I knew a chap who hated PPE so he stripped out all the wadding from a pair of chaps then just had them over his tracksuit for climbing in.. he genuinely didn't give a flyin f u kk and was very dangerous to work underneath...🤣
  12. Yeah don't bother with chaps . There a no no. A pair of lightweight ground trousers will be fine. My sthill ones have zippy side vents for summer but I've yet to use them. Modern PPE has. Moved on in the last few years and trousers are quite stretchy these days.
  13. Er not poking the wasps nest but I think hedge flailing has stopped for the season now...
  14. I find also this works but rather than myself I deploy the resident Spanish attack agent 😁 "He is trained on command of "go f*#k it up" 😁... Here is the "agent" on patrol....
  15. Boots are class 2 and are a revelation. I use cheap gloves that are about £3 a pair ,not chainsaw. I have been in still trousers for quite a few years now and find them long lasting enough for the price.they are not the toughest ones and for climbing don't last very long but fine for ground working as long as they don't get blackthorned and dragged into the chipper to much
  16. Stihl trousers are cheap and reasonably lightweight. I use a husquvarna forestry helmet as the face guards are strong for chipping and dragging, also cheaper I did recently buy some expensive boots and I have to say they are great. Been using haix previously which I've always found a good fit but my new ones are like trainers in comparison. https://www.hisltd.co.uk/ProductDetail/Arbortec-AT33300-Scafell-Lite-Chain-Saw-Boots-Blue-Class-2/2FD6C2C2EA274FCEBE4D22FAB5B85228?msclkid=bfb6565927cd1e941a2a33a2d7de8f6b&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Teclan Bing Shopping&utm_term=4587643556393423&utm_content=Ad group %231
  17. I have family in Gladstone. Is there much work up that way?
  18. Water pump replacement today so workshop for me.... Warming up a bit....
  19. Well stick to drinking pastis and touching goats then as your not obliged to Read
  20. We need these rules here as cats are a nuisance.
  21. Prove me wrong,. requirements for cat owners On this page Microchipping and registration of your cat Trespass and nuisance Health and welfare The law aims to protect animals from neglect and cruelty and to protect the community from animals becoming a nuisance or danger. If you don't comply with legal requirements such as microchipping and registration you can be fined. Check with your council to see if they have any local laws that may require cats to be desexed or to be kept on their owner's property during certain hours. Under animal cruelty legislation, if you mistreat or fail to properly care for your cat you can be prosecuted and face: fines jail ban on owning an animal. Trespass and nuisance If your cat is found wandering off your property and is not identified, it can be seized and impounded. You may have to pay a fine when reclaiming your cat from the Council pound. If your cat (even if it is identified) wanders onto another person's property more than once, it may be seized and impounded. Council can issue an order to stop your cat trespassing and if you don't comply you can be fined. Some Councils require cats to be confined to their owner's property during certain hours. Others prohibit or restrict cats in some places. Check with your local council to see if these requirements apply in your area.
  22. If the swedes were to invade Finland I'm sure Russia would help....🤣 Thing is Finland has nothing Russian would want and the UK stealth capacity would most certainly put them off even if they weren't part of NATO. The cold war does seem to be gaining a restart which realistically is what the major players want... Not enough money in peace and quiet is the reality unfortunately I'm voting for the badgers from now on ...
  23. Having done plenty of London planes on street working as a subbie and watching the employed tree workers on the same street amazed me as to how they even had jobs let alone got any work done....
  24. Of course we have to disclose what defence equipment we have stubby it's all part of the whole deterrent. Where and what they do there after is where the stealth kicks in. Yes we have submarines but who knows where they are..... Yes we have stealth planes but again who knows where they are or go...
  25. Allot to be said for Ozzy rules. You can fined if your cat trespasses onto another property
