    Nothing really wrong, just nose heavy with a 41. A 36 would be more ballanced and nicer to use for crosscutting. Also the scabbard for a 41 is 46" so it gets annoying to transport! It probably would if I didn't have the Stihl quick fill adapters on it makes it slightly too high 🙁

    I'd go with beach or maybe olive. Leylandii get out of control quickly and from my experience of Bay, they do exactly the same. Our neighbors have Bay and we are forever pulling it out of our garden, the trees need regular trimming and the hedges grow out of control quickly. Handy if you need a bay leaf though, I rob them for pizza sauces! 😂

    Funny story... So my mill arrived and I assembled that etc. I need to get a 36" bar because the 41 is rediculous but if I use it then it's a "second hand" one as opposed to factory fresh! On an annoying note, I bent the E clip when took the clutch off to lubricate the needle bearing which was dry 🤦🏼 I bent it back but I have some new ones coming from l&s! Hopefully have it in the wood next week!

    Well, yea. But I don't know anyone locally who uses over 3500. Even the big arb contactor for utilities have 3500 transits and sprinters. But I agree. Just keep under 4500 and it's a fine I guess 😂🤷🏼‍♂️

    Yea I wouldn't ever leave anything expensive in there! Saws and utility rods would come out. It's all insured but I want to leave my felling levers, first aid kit, odd ropes, fuel, sharpening kits etc etc in there. Stuff that is all pennies but causing me a massive headache to load and unload every day just to protect myself from an opportunist who might open the back. Plus having to unload my van onto a customer's driveway and then keep an eye on my kit is really annoying! My other option is having it only open from the passenger side. I park the van about 6 inches from the garden wall so if I had a door type tool cab it would be inaccessible when parked!

    Yea the weight is an issue. Went to a local company that does compost. Weigh in at 2740 and one scoop of compost and it was 4950 😂😂😂

    Hi everyone, So I want to get a bit cut off the tipper on my 2015 transit and a tool cab installed. I'm sick to death of loading and unloading the thing every single day. Anyone know of any good companies? I would also consider having a lighter back installed. On the weighbridge the other day it was 2740 empty with no kit and a driver 😳

    I suppose so 😕 I guess trees are the only thing you can destroy that can't be replaced like a bus stop! Hopefully this doesn't become a thing!

    Best by far is Automatrics Mtrack. Check out the videos on youtube. They aren't cheap but worth every penny. They have GPS but also Phone and VHF. If they put it in a shipping container then it can still be found where other units won't get GPS so just be offline. They also do tiny units too so you can hide them. They have been out and found excavator implements that have trackers in

    If it's a fresh loler then yes, you will usually require all the receipts for new gear. I found this out when I lolered my fresh gear and spend about 12 hours finding every receipt and printing them off as I did the same as you and got it from about 20 different places at different times. Depends on what your loler guys like too and how they charge as some charge more for the first inspection as they have to write everything down etc but I made a table up with everything listed, when it was first used (date on receipt) and it's serial number. They knocked a bit off the price as I saved them a tonne of time noting everything down.

    Genuine question. If you're piling then why the concern about stump grinding? Having it a couple of inches lower won't make any difference at all will it? Better off firing some ecoplugs into it if growback is a concern?

    Don't get me wrong, I'm not directly blaming the employees as they can't know every single qualification under the sun BUT they should be able to pass me to someone who knows what they are talking about or they should have access to something which says. For example, "Qualified tree surgeon" could in fact mean "Qualified Arboricultural surveyor with training in land subsidence caused by trees" but apparently in this case it means anyone who is a "qualified tree surgeon" by their own definition, i.e. anyone with CS30.

    Whilst I mostly agree with what you're saying about inconstancies I think it is at the fault of the insurance company. It is them writing the documents and it is also them making the rules, not us. It would be like them saying that structural damage to a house must be inspected by a qualified builder, but who is that? A bricklayer? A bathroom fitter? The Wickes kitchen guy? They already know that it has to be inspected by a surveyor. They are going to the lengths to add additional things to policies to ensure their ass is covered so they don't have to pay out if someone lets a tree damage their home and knows about it so why wouldn't they go to the lengths of knowing who they need to do the inspection? It's them asking for the inspection to be carried out, I guess anyone with CS30 and above can do it for aviva!
