I use 5w30 synthetic everywhere for last 10 or more years so you absolutely fine with that one ! Try avoid w20 very modern C5 oils too thin , I’m testing this on push mover,it’s still working but I only started can’t say what happens in long term!

I’m 100% sure it will work just don’t expect immediate results, more and more people fitting stoves in AA HOUSES, heat pumps not as cheap to run as was promised and most AA buildings is not AA at all at least there in Ireland, so unless government make it absolutely illegal firewood will be in demand!

Ok there is my point, we had very powerful storm this winter I believe many trees got some sort of internal damage , which hard to identify,then summer come trees become more heavy at summer as they absorb moisture , plus hot temperatures cause them to expand and if tree already hade some internal damage I believe that will cause collapse even in absolutely good looking tree I just cut biggest elm I ever seen with very interesting internal crack sadly I don’t like photos during work ! Tree like this cedar must be fenced to retain , it is also good for a tree to keep ground intact under drip zone. I’m afraid that if we start remove every potentially dangerous tree it will be no tree left, we just need proper people for assessment and survey , plus we need to stop some sort of ecolunatics affecting decisions, so it’s all about good specialists and managers all those becoming absolete !

This oil discussion it’s strange to me I use Stihl Hp super some of my brush cutters more that 2000 hours I think much more now at least one MS 261 is more than 2000 hours and a Husqvarna 572 with crazy hours all going well I never had damaged engine in my live due to oil mix it is always slow compression loss and power shortage due to aging! Off course you can be unlucky sometimes but in general just use oil what manufacturer recommend with recommended ratio and you have guaranteed that all be fine , all those racing and motorbikes stuff strange ratios and so on is bunkers, most damage I seen is due to reckless use or absolute lack of maintenance, I tell more every second saw user I seen not understand what maintenance is at alll: dull chains 10 years old spark plugs, petrol mixes of unknown age , never replaced air filters , dirty engines with bad air circulation worn sprockets and so on. To the topic just keep mix in special can with proper use by date markings , as it must and it will be doesn’t matter what color it is !

Once I come to price a job , and there is 3 pit bulls all around me I had best play with them ever, and the owner said that I got the job before even put my price on it…… sadly I didn’t realise that I could put 100 % profit🤣 jumping dogs usually very friendly they want to kiss you in to the face cause they think it’s what you want, because owner kiss them in to the nose, However good owner must have control over things some people very afraid of our pets it is primal very hard to overcome it !

There is my 5 c , always price for proper job , don’t offer any choices, don’t be desperate, price accordingly to how many hours it will take and add extra 30 % as profit if you busy or less if you you not so , that how i do, I don’t remember when i hadn’t a work for less than 3 weeks ahead! I can tell you more …..most of the time price is irrelevant to some degree, It is about trust and representation ! Make sure you look as a pro…. Clothes, language and so on!

I actually work max 6 hours, plus driving 2to3 hours plus 1 hour loading unloading ! Some days I manage to spend all energy in 3 to 4 hours working very fast usually hedge cutting 😞 rarely I work very long hours like 9 or 10 but it’s usually grass cutting strumming rubbish collection spraying weeds and so on (maintenance )!

Ropes ,knots ,pulleys, carabiners all I need all those gimmicks is a trash for me , the main thing is when you use same technique for 10 years it’s becoming a n extra hand, don’t see point to change anything , plus things you can do with prussik just impossible with all those metal things ,but as a toy it’s ok!

4 years ago I did pruning on ash with die back ,I just cut only branches badly affected and dead wood ,the tree still standing and look very well as I drive past it every second day ,so I can confirm some of the species can probably survive, sadly not many of them! But from now I will recommend to customers not to rush in to the removal, if tree looking more or less ok and they ready to have small financial risk to prune it correctly .

I giving all timber for free if somebody collecting from site , and it’s always cut to 25cm logs, some old people get it delivered for free if they proof to be not wealthy, f….img donation to Gold course, I just can’t believe it ……….
