Cut it somewhere near with a chainsaw mark and make up a small stud box you can clamp to the box section of the mill. You can seat the log into that and screw it in place while you cut your cookies.

If you played it right you could have the mill be demountable so that you could use the trailer and crane for collecting logs.. 👆

Weight of that trailer and hiab would be pushing 2 ton so legally you would not get many logs on there.
