  1. ? I wish I never said anything now! I'd have just top flapped my chipper if I knew it would cause this much trouble! ?
  2. I'll post some pics in the daylight tommorow. I think I'm trying to achieve the impossible. I'm just going to modify the trailer hitch to make it line up like other angle shafted trailers. I don't even have a car with a tow hitch so not sure why I was worrying about that ?
  3. I think I'm just going to attack it with the grinder and welder, my chipper is only 150kg! ?
  4. https://www.amazon.com/Roadmaster-0488-048-8-Hi-Low-Hitch/dp/B001FC94CC This is exactly what I need.
  5. Yeah thats the whole point of this post, I'm trying to eliminate the angle. If I put bigger wheels on and raise the trailer to achieve that I'll have too much clearance. I want to level it on it's current wheels to make loading/unloading easy. Also I'd need wheels that are 6 inch radius bigger to bring her up
  6. That then beats the point of me getting a low to the ground trailer to make it easier to get my chipper on and off. Who would have thought a 5x3' trailer would cause so much grief ?
  7. Oh, think I just found one, thanks Ratman ?
  8. I had a look, but I need to come down 150mm plus the height of my tow ball to get her level, none I've seen drop that much.
  9. Nah shes fixed, obviously locks on but not the same as hitches on big trailers.
  10. I'll need one that lowers a good 7 inches to get her level, might just get a plate of 20mm steel and DIY it... trailer is never going to have that much weight anyway.
  11. I just picked myself up a small trailer to mount my mini chipper on but as it's for cars, the thing sits at dodgy angle. I have two options, engineering the trailer towing eye shaft so that it either has a bend in it or steps the eye up 6 inches so the trailer sits flat or get a plate to lower my tow ball on my Rangers. Anyone have any other work rounds, I don't really want to bastardise the trailer so it can only be used for pickups, at the same time I don't really fancy having a tow ball sitting stupidly low on the back of my truck... Gold plated solution would be some kind of bolt on adapter that lets the trailer have a straight or bend shaft, I can't seem to find one online though. Cheers, Mark
  12. Were are you based? Getting to know the local industry is the main part of contracting expansion in my opinion.
  13. What species are you growing? What sort of height are they at? I'm trying to convice my dad to turn his 2 acres of arable fields that have 2 alpaca on into a woodland for my grandchildren to enjoy ?
  14. I cheated on the last one Never heard of a Maidenhair tree before. I did however see a mature (20m+) Elm today, I got probably a little too excited and briefly broke my hardened woodsman persona in front of the lads ....
  15. You are a mighty oak. Grow even stronger with our collection of programmes about trees. Your score: 10/10 ?
  16. I'd love to see how your woodland looks after 6 years?
  17. Failing that mate hutzl just started making parts for the 200. If your not too proud stick a chinese fuel tank on her! https://www.huztl.net/Aftermarket-Stihl-MS200T-020T-Chainsaw-Gas-Fuel-Tank-Housing-Assy-OEM-1129-350-0853-1129-350-0806-p238174.html
  18. I have a bit that I keep for myself, I wouldnt sell it as logs.
  19. Speak to an ecologist and get creative with some play dough to introduce some great crested newt, warbler, badger, bat shit to your whole property. Then she can't touch fuck all without Natural England getting invovled
  20. The TM400 looks like a decent machine, good price on it too!
  21. Thanks, I've got access to a 1950s grey fergie. No idea what HP she is pushing out though!
  22. Ah, it might be the chute then. The TW has a pretty small one.
  23. Evening, I'm on the lookout for a splitter to process the odds and ends I get from jobs. Not needed for commercial fire wood stuff but enough whack to deal with horrible lumps! I've been splitting by hand but the nights are drawing in so its lost its novelty! What size is best for my needs? I was thinking a 10T machine? Anyone got one for sale?
  24. I've never had any issues smashing leylandii through my Rock Machinery. I guess the sap can clog stuff up? So long as you don't exclusively do conifers I assume harder stuff will clean up the insides
