  1. Ahh, the grim reaper! Though now I've woken up - coffee - looks like retaliation backwards and forwards from the attacks the other week that killed the tourists... and so should settle down in a week or so once that can go back to their people and say "that showed them"
  2. Oooh, you'd think someone would say something wouldn't you?
  3. Always been a bit tetchy at the Indian - Pakistan border but this takes it up a notch I think. What started them escalating things?
  4. Anyone want to guess what film was on US TV on Saturday night....
  5. Reading the reports though, if he recovers fully it is going to take some time - but yes, hope he makes as good a recovery as he can
  6. Ooooh, another comment about me? How considerate, almost as if I am stuck in your head. How did Kylie put it "la, la la, I just can't keep you out of my head".. I feel a bromance!!
  7. I see your comprehension is up to scratch today, BillQ was making an analogy. That is a new word for you for today.
  8. Saw that on the news yesterday but didn't have time to comment. Didn't see it on TV and though I guess the clip is on the internet not inclined to look but sounds like a proper nasty accident.
  9. A bit like Bedlam? Ironically with the current use of the word "a scene of uproar and confusion", reminds me of anyones term of office?
  10. That would be funny, dispense with the trials, invite him to the grand opening "and would you like to inspect your, errr, a cell sir?"
  11. Very relevant statistic for one who claims to have no racial bias and yet only highlights rapes by that 16% and not from the other 84%... as if the crime is irrelevant just the perpetrator. Wonder why that is (he also sees no harm in Trump being a 'little' bit rapey and complicit in the child trafficking that Epstein was fond of, Trump of course 'likes them young'.. but still a hero of the old JohnsonD.. one rule for the white guy, one for the Muslim)
  12. That's what my common sense would suggest too, trailer max load is irrelevant to the vehicle, so long as your vehicle is not overloaded. Might be some mechanics comes into play if it is a silly big trailer for the vehicle (thinking levers, all the load at the tow bar, trailer wheel a mile further back effectively all the load is then in the boot of the car)... but would have to be a sully big trailer and point loaded for that to happen.
  13. House proximity... if it has been there 30 years and the extension for 17 a competent builder / architect will have accounted for it (however....) As above, hard to kill it off, poison, keep going at it taking off all the new shoots as they appear or stump grind the roots and hope. Even the logs taken off will sprout roots and shoots if left in a suitable place. I'd look at managing the tree as well.
  14. Alcatraz, closed because it was too expensive. Nice little earner now from tourism, maybe with tourism plummeting in the US that income is dropping too? A vanity project that will do nothing to reduce violent crime in the US, some might even see it as a challenge to get sent there. Headline grabbing but like most of his headline grabbing not going to happen (build a wall all the way across the Mexico border, all hell breaking loose if hostages in Gaza arn't released, end Ukraine war in 24 hours, take Canada and Greenland into the US, and the biggie, Tariffs to instantly produce all stuff in the US, and the biggie, Make America Great Again)
  15. Making a movie in another country is a national security threat. Cannot quite see how another Star Wars film is going to affect a countries security but he knows these things best, however for the UK having a US made film is surely the same security threat in reverse and all films should be banned for the danger they pose?
  16. He knows that statistic, it has been posted before, he didn't like what he saw and threw out insults. 84% of the perpetrators are not Muslim men
  17. Odd, I was expecting an answer to that one. Odd that.
  18. If the cap fits and all that. No one has called you a racist for ages but if that is weighing on your conscious than so be it. If you want some understanding on the point, which is that anyone with a single narrow agenda can highlight single cases to try to influence others at the expense of reality. That was the point being made. Try not to be too hard of understanding in future.
  19. Name calling on a thread... I usually take that means the poster has no valid response to make, but desperate to make a comment that is all they have (vanity maybe, needs to be centre of every thread). However Bill, you might be stupid, I don't know... but even a stupid man can see that highlighting a single incident to claim a nationwide bias is pushing an agenda and confirming their own bias
  20. Cubic meter of birch is about 3/4 ton, £150 /m3 is about £200 / ton Half the cost as you go down a level of processing: £200 dried and delivered - £100 split - £50 logs at roadside for Firewood quality.
  21. Yeah, but Linkedin doesn't do reasonable and unbiased stories, cannot be the fault of one who relies on it as a source of truth to be easily misled. Especially if it fits their political agenda. Time and again it highlights crimes as if only a small portion of society commits the crimes when in reality if you look at the figures, that small portion of society only commits a small portion of that crime.
  22. That one was hilarious, so vein he thinks it is all about him.
  23. So... 100 days in and his major good achievements are... No, I couldn't think of many either.
  24. Supply and demand, raptors don't feed on bugs but thrushes do
  25. Not really, checking the weight for them all is about 1T, 1000kg give or take a little - quite like my simple hatchbacks - but got to look to older models for ones you can play with easily. Even with that, mpg remains about the same, size and shape is similar, engine about the same, right foot is the same right foot, but insect splats are down year on year for the last few decades.
