  1. Before they laugh you out the door and ask you never to return?
  2. Perhaps, but having done what you've done leaves you with zero recourse. You've left no avenue to return to the Dealer to fight your case nor have you got a legal leg to stand on really. Your complete reluctance to say why you felt the need to do what you did speaks far more volumes than your ability to measure correctly.
  3. If its not running too well you take it back to the Dealer whilst its under warranty. Or you tune it correctly, you dont just strip a near on brand new saw down and invalidate your warranty and give the Dealer a justifiable reason to doubt your story.
  4. If you've opened that Saw whatever warranty you had is gone. How does the Dealer not know you do not have any honesty and are false representing by changing out the pot and piston your self? You've not given a reason to have opened the saw in the first place so why should or would they believe you? The only thing can think is you're too embarrassed to admit you ran it on straight fuel, or ran it lean and melted the piston to the pot, you knew this was your own fault and knew the warranty would not cover it so you went in to change them out yourself and have now noticed that the sized supposedly to not match you you believe they should do. But having done this you have no way to prove your case. Its all very odd.
  5. Would be interesting to know your reasoning for opening up a perfectly good running saw that's within warranty for what appears to be no good reason. If there was something the wrong with it then you'd have thought you'd have taken it back to the Dealer to fix under warranty, not invalidate the warranty to strip it down your self. I have to agree, somethings not adding up here at all. Your caginess and defensiveness certainly does not help.
  6. Because its human nature to start putting down some form of roots. Mini-ghettos will spring up all over the place and without the infrastructure to deal with human waste and produced waste/rubbish there will be environmental and health issues within a fairly short period of time. I know in your rose tinted la la land viewpoint this will not and does not happen, but thankfully the authorities make that decision on this matter.
  7. There is that option as well I suppose? There's an old boy that build the Cabin Homes already on the Estate who's website is still active, one of the Estates Cabins is still in the ''Brochure'' but he's in his 80's now. Hopefully he or someone in the business will respond. They're based just down the road from me as well. Norlog Home Page log cabins uk WWW.NORLOG.CO.UK
  8. Well my new windows certainly do rotate to allow them to be cleaned from the inside. But they are Guffy Windows so not sure if thats just a Scottish thing? Im feeling quite flush as I have the budget of both Saturday and Sunday papers. Im off-shore right now and IO really hope I dont fall pregnant, its a long 3 weeks mind.
  9. Ive never heard of inward opening windows by law? My 1 year old ones certainly do not. Might be able to scrounge some newbuild 'green' grants though.
  10. Thats one of the websites Ive been looking at. £1000 a m2 though. Adds up quite quick.
  11. From looking at a few UK based Log Cabin websites they at least claim they can be. Id certainly consider a hybrid if that was the only way. A Wooden house really does not bother me, a huge proportion of houses built in Scandinavia are from Wood. I know of two Log Cabins on a local Estate that where built in the 90's and they are doing amazingly well as full time homes. Ive now been tentatively offered to look around my mates Estate to pick out a plot together so when I get back from Off-shore we'll take a drive around. Im quite excited by that prospect.
  12. Im not sure which sub-forum best suits this question so I'll ask here. Im looking into the possibility of potentially dividing up the plot of land my house is on, selling a parcel with Planning Permission then selling the House then moving further into the sticks and having a fully scribed Log Cabin built. Its all in the musing stage just now as I still have a lot of refurbishing work to do in the house for the next year or two. But I really like the idea of buying a ploy of land and living in a Log Cabin and potentially be mortgage free. Having had a look at a couple of websites I see its common to go for either the log only option or you can go for the fully wind/water tight option. Anyone here have any first hand experience in having one built for them? Anyone know anyone they'd recommend?
  13. I think if a half bottle of Vodka fell out of his back pocket instead of a wee baggie the question would still be the same. Same goes for if he turned up still smashed out of his nut on booze from the night before.
  14. I only use Rotatech now and find them brilliant value for money. No issues at all with the 20 or so chains Ive used so far.
  15. I get 40-50 IBC's filled with split logs in the Spring and then burn all the way through the rest of the year without a single care in the world. Like 90% on here my firewood is virtually free. Got two stoves running right now and will have three running in a matter of weeks.
  16. I burn about 40 IBC's a year. Will continue to drop though as I add more insulation to the house and things like double glazing etc.
  17. Yes, my kitchen stove does my hot water and is purely gravity fed. There is also a radiator in the system (safety feature) and the gravity still works well and both the radiator and hot water are nice and hot.
  18. As I said, I’m genuinely curious. Im sure you’re honourable enough to post up the selling price if you ever get wind of it even if it makes you look a fool. Maybe not, we’ll just have to see. Exciting times Step.
  19. Let us know what it sells for. Will be interesting to see who’s actually outta touch. I have my suspicions already.
  20. There’s at least two of these trolls offering nothing other than their point of view backing it up with some further stern points of their view. Exhaustive reply’s of just fluff that holds no bearing to reality or anything what they believe reality to be.
  21. You just failed number one rule of troll club.
  22. Sometimes it’s best to just ignore the trolls. If I was asked to envision this particular troll I’d imagine terraced house, involuntary single, vegan, pastimes primarily based around the end of oil whilst at the same time being completely oblivious to his whole existence depending on it.A 70-80% chance of having long hair that if he’s not careful America would invade due to its vast oil production.
  23. If you look back I never mentioned the U.K. I actually specifically mentioned other countries such as Germany and Sweden. So Mark, please take your own gin soaked advice and wind your neck in before you make a fool of yourself again.
  24. Because being far Left is as bad as being far Right. It’s simply not a case of Left is good therefore more Left is great, history shows this. Since most governments these days are dangerous close to far Left a swing to the Right would be a far better balance and address the issues of why many countries feel the need for a more Right leaning government.
  25. Gotta keep that barrel price high. Never have I wanted oil to run out so badly.
