  1. Evening everyone my stocks of dry logs are dwindling fast at the moment thinking of getting a container of kiln dried in from abroad can anyone put me in touch with a company please ? Best wishes and have a nice Christmas. Rob the log.
  2. Thanks for a very helpful review there. What length rings do you supply it with ? On the kindling side of things what do you feed it ? The products look very good thanks.
  3. I use a 16ton split vertical hydraulic splitter with a big table waist heaight to work at. Brilliant machine and fast in the right hands. It’s a 3 point linkage tractor job but I’ve mounted it on a pallet to move it around and run it from a jcb power pack. The splitter was £1000 brand new and the power pack £300 off eBay second hand. Well worth the money both of them. Rob
  4. Thanks is there people out there that hire them out at all ? I thought it might be a way of finding out what’s best.
  5. Thanks ash. On good going how many nets an hour can you do with it ? Rob
  6. Things have been average lately, we have ups and downs one week we’ll be flat out doing 25-30 cube next week we only do 10. Gdh you must be some busy boys doing that sort of quantity
  7. Evening everyone looking into buying either a kindlett or splitta from fuelwood or the posch autosplit. I want something to produce logs and kindling could I have you’re ideas/ recommendations ? Regards rob
  8. Thanks for the advice lads have bought a 2014 ifor Williams 10x 5’6 was supposed to be here today but now coming Monday morning
  9. Thanks for replies chaps. I'd only have the normal sides as wouldn't need the mesh. The bobcat weighs 1.5 Ton reversed on right to the headboard would be fine I recon it would only get moved maximum 5 times a year about 5 miles so not far.
  10. I'm thinking the 10x5,6 ifor would be a good choice for me as hopefully I could get 3-4 bulk bags on it and still move my bobcat around too
  11. Ahh that's great news swinny thanks was a bit worried when bob said that.
  12. I already know my insurance is okay as I haul farm machinery for people too.
  13. Any ideas how much wood m3 wise is in a load and what you charge please ? I use a 7x4 ifor at the moment for loose loads I charge 85 up to the normal sides or 150 up to the top of the mesh sides. So I suppose would need to be 100 or just over for 8x5 loads ? Rob
  14. Looking to buy a tipper. Anyone selling any ? What size tipping trailers do you guys use to deliver logs ? Help appreciated rob
  15. I'm charging £2.50 wholesale and £3.50 retail. 45x60 nets filled well. Rob
  16. Log sales fairly average at the moment averaging about 6 cube a week at present but it is still 'SUPPOSED' to be summer.
  17. Evening gdh last load I bought was 60 a ton no vat delivered for mixed hardwood. Rob
  18. Looking good. Does the idea work well ? So do you cut billets and dry/ season them like that then sawbench into delivery vehicle? Rob
  19. Evening. Looking to buy 20-40 log crates / ibc cages for drying firewood in a barn. Anyone selling any. Rob 07411256983
  20. Thanks me too. Luckily he's given me 12 months notice as I have about 50 Ton cut and split and 30 Ton cord waiting outside
  21. Just been given notice on my wood yard this evening. Currently renting 2 old pig sheds on a farm and some outside space for 2 artic loads of cord. Could do with a big shed on a farm with outside space for 2-6 artic loads of cord if anyone knows of anywhere in the Gloucester/ Tewkesbury/ Malvern area please get in touch. Thanks. Rob
  22. Hi very poor farmer I'm also in the Ledbury ish area and I have a japa road tow processor with petrol engine. I charge 25 per hour for me and the processor but I haven't found much work round here. Hopefully you'll do better. I use the processor mostly for my own firewood but I don't get much that will go through it so I may well sell mine and get someone in to do mine so if you're reasonably priced I may get you're number. Rob
  23. Been ticking over nicely the last few weeks been a bit up and down though last week sold 20 cube this week sold 7. Getting the shed filled up ready for this coming winter now
  24. I use my splitter on a jcb powerpack and it's plenty fast enough 16 ton vertical splitter.
  25. Just looked at the pics I've got of it. Sorry it's a japa 300 not 700.
