  1. That’s not really a common scenario Mick imo and even if it was who gives a shit eh 🤷‍♂️, like I say at around 30mpg you pay to drive them anyway. my mrs hates driving my Ranger as it happens. Like I said to stop some abusing the system they have battered everyone.
  2. I wasn’t even aware they did a king cab wildtrack in 3.0 A 3.0 DC Wildtrack was on the cards in June but no chance now. £10k hit if I did 🤷‍♂️
  3. King cab Wildtrack ? Mick I’m not much different ie I’m on 2nd Ranger and done the Navara and a 2 seater hilux prior to that. I can understand the angst at people taking the piss but many have a totally justified reason for owning them. The convenience factor will be missed ie the ability to get out in shite weather up here or pick up kids etc if I’m passing on way home rather than doubling back with a car. It just seem like yet another hit on the working man. What’s hard to fathom is the support it has on here from people who I’d presume are predominantly self employed. Let’s face it they get enough revenue off anyone driving them with the sub 30mpg figure for starters. Let’s see if they come after all of them next eh including king cabs.
  4. “perfectly adequate king cab” Maybe to you Mick, not to a lot of people I’d imagine especially if you need to take more than one passenger. Out if interest what king cab you gone for ?
  5. Meanwhile back in our land UK growth forecast for this year halved, chancellor says APPLE.NEWS The Office for Budget Responsibility has halved the UK growth forecast for 2025 from...
  6. Using a sledgehammer to crack an egg is never the best idea Mick That is undoubtedly happening in some cases but not in the majority I know including myself. The way they have done it hits everyone regardless if your need is valid. In fact those who stick with them out of necessity will get hammered the most, not exactly a recipe for economic growth.
  7. 😂😂😂I knew you’d bite 😂😂 Strange how it’s only me who you think does that You never comment on any of the numerous ATL pics that have been posted lately 🤔 Anyone would think you are biased SP Anyway you want to be careful lad, late nights a daily commuter grind on public transport to the office, you will be as much use as tits on a bull if you keep posting at that time of the day. Sneaky little post whilst you nipped to the toilet was it SP 😂😂😂
  8. UK sitting on £150bn of oil & gas that could power country for next 25 years APPLE.NEWS Around 40 per cent of the UK’s energy is imported BRITAIN is sitting on a glut of oil and gas that... You’d have to be a special kind of retard to shut down our own fields and still import what we will need for decades to come. That level of stupid is very hard to justify.
  9. These Americans are obviously just not listening to the ATL 😂😂😂you guys need to cry louder it would seem.
  10. #energysecurity #smarttransition #globalreality #ukpolicy | David Sheret | 11 comments WWW.LINKEDIN.COM The Energy Reality the UK Can’t Ignore This morning, CNOOC, one of China’s offshore energy... The reality rather than the fantasy
  11. Lies SP for the umpteenth time. The earnings obsession is yours alone and explain how do you go about “bragging of your hypocrisy” ?? Net zero and Renewables are two very different things The salesmen have managed to link the two for huge financial gain and the gullible such as yourself have swallowed it big time. Just had an end of shift meeting there, Brits, Dutch, Polish, Spanish, Italian and probs a couple more nationalities , you will be pleased to know your labelling of those who work in the subsea industry who are involved in that aspect of the renewables game and have doubts about the validity of the net zero cause we’re quite amused at accusations of hypocrisy thrown around by yourself. Ok admittedly I may have portrayed you in a rather poor light when reading your post out but unfortunately it was hard not to do otherwise. Anyway enjoy your commute to the office today 👍and stop obsessing over what other people earn eh, that’s not a good way to live.
  12. Whet a load of waffle and pure nonsense SP you should be embarrassed. So you have moved the goal posts from net zero to green 😂😂 Rebranding you call it now 😂😂 I presume judging by this latest line of reasoning you must think Ed Milliband is doing an outstanding job then, that the headlong destructive Net Zero nonsense the UK is adopting is the right path. There’s only one person making a noise about what he thinks I’m earning on here and desperately trying to make something out of nothing and that’s as usual yourself SP. Me and my earnings seem to be of great interest to you, at least I’m honest about what I do for a living SP. Take a look at the attached pic SP that was the first offshore wind project I ever worked on, the shite you are spouting is just that, I base my posts on fact or often as not experiences or work history. I’ve got news for you there’s not any lads out here of any nationality at all who think that net zero is anything but madness, I guess that makes us all hypocrites in your eyes, whilst you sit smugly on your daily commute what do you think your train is made of or runs on ??? Fairy dust and dried unicorn shite
  13. I’ve been doing this before net zero was even thought of, Net Zero is utter insanity, wind farms are only any good as part of a balanced set up, currently they make huge profits for predominantly foreign companies. Solar farms I’ve no experience in and don’t think I’ve had much opinion on them. Electric cars are currently too expensive, low range poor towing capacity etc etc ie a long long way off from replacing what we currently use especially within certain sectors. How can myself doing a job for years that now has some ludicrous “ net zero “ tag somehow attached to it to soothe the gullible be classed as me being a hypocrite 🤷‍♂️your reasoning is just pure and utter stupidity.
  14. You guys
  15. The current marginal tax rate on income from UK and UKCS oil and gas extraction is 78%. That not enough Mark
  16. I don’t have a salary SP never have since leaving the army, if you are gonna make up shite numbers constantly at least get it half right. The profits/subsidies are enormous SP the money the likes of myself earn is peanuts compared to the dayrate of some of the vessels here. How is me being here doing the job I’ve been doing for years long before you daft buggers swallowed the net zero pill hypocrisy?
  17. Most of the wind/solar/tidal farms in Scotland are owned and/or financed… | Ron Smith | 51 comments WWW.LINKEDIN.COM Most of the wind/solar/tidal farms in Scotland are owned and/or financed by non-Scottish... As should you
  18. Angry man today Mark eh Just saying it how it is and the vibe/ feelings I’m getting off the one or two people I occasionally meet in my rural isolation type existence.
  19. What about the drone strikes by Putin, do you reckon they are making Trump look bad? That’s from an earlier reply I presume you missed Mark 🤷‍♂️not sure if you want an in-depth long winded analysis but that’s my thoughts on it 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Quite frankly is that even a-serious question, first of all I don’t really give a toss what either Putin or Trumps visuals are. What I do know is one way or another it had to come to an end at some point. There was zero chance under the previous administration who along with the Europeans gave Ukraine enough to survive but not enough to win. Do I think the current plan is a good one, no I don’t but as I’ve mentioned on here before this war started a long time before you guys took any interest in it, the current obsession has zero to do with Ukraine and more to do with the Trump factor for most of you.
  20. A canny skill bonny lad 😂😂true Geordie Mark, . No thanks if this is the result. I saw your critical thinking come to fruition a while back when you accused me of sacrificing granny 🤷‍♂️. Anyway lot of angst today lad,you rough with the drink or something, that rambling late night post catching up maybe ? I’m ever so sorry my trusty old I phone 6 doesn’t come up to your tech expectations
  21. There’s that university education kicking in again.
  22. UK families to be '£1,400-a-year poorer by 2030' APPLE.NEWS Living standards for the poorest third are predicted to fall twice that of middle and high earners... Whilst the left obsess over Trumps every move the reality is you can see, hear and feel this already over a wide range of income levels. I don’t think I’ve ever experienced the levels of pessimism and anxiety being expressed by self employed and small business owners at a governments actions prior to the current Labour administration, looks very like those at the lower end are gonna carry the can as usual. So much for growth and the old myth of labour being the party of the working class.
  23. don't really give a toss where you live. You as I’m often told missed the point there totally Then don’t mention my rural location as part of your late night rambling response Covid is/was airborne, there is no way to measure how many peoples air you breath. I know that if light up a cigarette that the smoke will reach just about everywhere in a space. So your social interactions metric means f all. 🤷‍♂️ Presumably the same applies to the “ thousands “you meet every day. Which is pure fantasy imo. What about the drone strikes by Putin, do you reckon they are making Trump look bad? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️Quite frankly is that even a-serious question, first of all I don’t really give a toss what either Putin or Trumps visuals are.
  24. Contact ?? You should look up the average figures of actual social contacts per day Mark. You are way way off. That’s not my house.
