1. Christ you are beyond talking common sense too. I should have known that after the last few years. Yep chinas wonderful renewables infrastructure eh 42 🤔oh yeah they are massively into that along with the multiple new coal fired power stations and steel works. There is a balance to be had and we could start by cutting China out the loop in regards what we see around our coastline. Educate yourself on the current reality of uk renewables and the source of most of the eqpt 42 and the tidal options available in the uk etc etc the changes required need to be from government and be long term strategic ones rather than punitive actions to the average citizen in the short term. Unlike yourself 42 I’ve seen first hand and worked within the renewable industry, seen all the vessels, the crews the crane barges the heavy lift ships hauling jackets and monopoles from China and elsewhere all the way to the uk to install off our coastline wind farms that generate eye watering profits for mainly overseas companies.paid for in the end by UK customers.
2. You ever been involved with any of the current renewables projects or see where the kit is actually made or who is installing it ??
3. Like I say you do like to gobble up a bit of hysteria 42. Get yourself to China and India and see how you get on. We do far more than most here. You of all people advising “ open your eyes” that’s pretty ironic.
4. Alternatively?? Lib/Dem 🤮Greens 🤷‍♂️we’ve seen how useless they are up here Mark. Starmers arse will fall out if he ever gets in and it will be back to the same old crap merry go round, you can see that already.
5. It’s true 👍 42 if the last couple of years are anything to go buy you’d swallow like Linda Lovelace when it comes to a hysterical msm headline. Wise up ffs man, we in the west and in Europe in particular are pretty sensitive to the environment already. Absolutely burdening ourselves with insane legislation that particularly affects normal working people is insane when you look at for example India and China and how much coal they use etc.
6. MSN WWW.MSN.COM Seems they can do exactly that, even to a racist bigot apparently 👍. Bit ripe a bank built upon the earnings of the super rich “ not exactly a class of people renowned for high moral standards “ getting on its high horse. I hope Farage drags them straight to court if he’s in the right.
7. Yep it’s hot in Greece in July
8. You seen how much has been given to them to build this 🤷‍♂️ This country is screaming out for some common sense decent government something I don’t see from any party right now.
9. Blair and Starmer bask in each other’s reflected glory | Keir Starmer | The Guardian AMP.THEGUARDIAN.COM Current Labour leader and former Labour PM find validation in onstage love-in Not to worry I see the messiah TB is being brought in from the cold by Starmer now, that’s gonna be a massive vote winner eh Mark 😂
10. Is it Mark really or is that what the media is telling everyone just as they did with covid. mate who gives a shit about BJ,s wats app messages eh end of day every single party supported every single measure and restriction. As a nation the vast majority were utterly duped. Many many made a mockery of themselves.
11. Some world we live in nowadays Mark, the msm and social media are probably some of the most destructive forces we see on a day to day basis. On that note it’s climate that seems to be the new covid for the media. Relentless hysterical headlines on the subject.
12. Lol well I’ll admit he was good at rubbing people up the wrong way.
13. It certainly doesn’t help but the mrs ran a 64 plate insignia for 8 years until she took out a roe a few months back and sadly the car was a total loss, that car had over a 100k on the clock and zero rust underneath anywhere. Both my Ranger wildtracks in particular the last one a 68 plate have looked terrible after only 18-24months, I’m past caring now in all honesty as it’s well out of warranty ( chassis swap has been done) and the plan is to run it to the death so to speak.
14. Keir Starmer: ‘We can’t win power by spending. We need to reform and create wealth’ | Keir Starmer | The Guardian AMP.THEGUARDIAN.COM Exclusive: Labour leader urges left to ‘care more about growth’ and rules out spending ‘vast sums of money’ Reform and create wealth 🤔🤷‍♂️ that will be a first for labour. Mind you old Blair certainly created a good deal of wealth for himself since he baled out.
15. Why should she 🤷‍♂️pre brexit no issue and post brexit permanently settled status. Admittedly one of her brothers has done the uk passport thing but still keeps his Finnish one too , having completed his National service over there he’s entitled to that for life.
16. You seem to be having a good few Woodrow Wyatt moments lately 🤔
17. Ok then bollocks to it eh, let’s put a sign up at Dover “ if you can speak English in you come “ don’t worry about the cost or any of the societal implications eh, just open the bloody doors. Every time I’ve been abroad for a sustained period or an a vessel with different nationalities I have made a concerted effort out of respect and courtesy to try and pick up the language of that country or Individual even if only the bare basics rather than rely on the “ natives “ as you put it to speak English.
18. You have just done your standard thing and thrown a line in there and presumed way way too much. The language barrier is it 🤔. No one speaks French I guess eggs ??.
19. You’d happily pay more !!.
20. That’s a topic all on it’s own but the blatantly obvious elephant in the bloody room that blows all the political side of your argument out the water is why are they crossing from a safe country then. Are they not passing through multiple countries they could claim asylum in if they really were that desperate !! then cross the channel 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️so it’s the governments fault they are illegally crossing from France “ a safe country “ . As for the locals scum off their heads as you refer to them 🤷‍♂️enforce current laws, lose the softly softly touch with these people.
21. And who exactly should be looking in this mirror !!. I’d say the current numbers crossing the channel illegally are a significant concern for a number of reasons.
22. Laws and immigration policies are in this case 2 separate points. I’ll repeat that if the police, Hmrc and other agencies did the job they are supposed to do then things might be a bit better. We have all seen what happens when the police can not tackle issues for fear of the racism card being played in the likes of Rotherham and Blackpool etc etc. As an aside my eldest daughter whom was born in Finland and has a Finnish passport but lived here all her life was returning from SA only a week ago with some of her veterinary students and was grilled about her settled status, she’s white with a strong Northumbrian accent so not exactly a prime suspect.
23. That’s been a well known fact for years, our weak as piss laws and immigration policies combined with a gentle touch policing approach have led to this just being the norm in many areas. Again if Hmrc did their job along with other agencies it would be easily sorted.
24. Good luck to them I say, why should the bank take a fee for every single card transaction, tax avoidance 🤷‍♂️is theirs and Hmrcs business. What is far worse is when they won’t take cash, the new Aberdeen exhibition centre for example is totally cashless for all the gigs there 😡 Burger King during the covid farce we’re another bunch who refused to take legal tender. Absolutely outrageous quite frankly, there should be legislation in place to stop such behaviour.
25. Not hard to understand really, I’m more than happy for any of my 4 sons to do a trade or a hands on role or get dirty at work. I’ve had two or 3 close calls over the years in the military and the diving and through I will openly admit a good dose of luck I’m still here. I’d not wish the mental stress of long periods away from home, missing your kids growing up and zero job security on anyone but it’s a choice I made way back. My wish for them is not to be in the situations I’ve been in based upon my own experiences if they choose to ignore the advice then so be it, I’ll then help them every way I can. I hope I never get the call I know at least 6 mothers and fathers of guys I’ve known have received over the last 30plus years doing this job.
