  14. Hi. Just after bit of advice. After just completing my tickets i keenly tackled my big saw for thorough service and tidy up. I have a 28" bar with semi chisel 404 chain on. Also bought a new 36" bar (duromatic)with 2 chains. Never knew about pitch then.. it now appears the 36" chain is 3/8! No wonder it ran a bit 'clumsy'. Need a new sprocket. Either a 7tooth 404 as on or get 8tooth 3/8 ..? Or both and change when changing bars..? Rest of clutch assembly is same I hope. Any advice/ideas much appreciated Sent from my SM-A310F using Arbtalk mobile app
  15. I have tried running with a flue stat. Problem is that the the flue temp is only about 50C when operating. I have a log gassification boiler. Tried to cut the pump out when fire out.. as the main water body is >80C it 'reheats' the boiler!! So doesnt work. The 3way laddomat is essential in the whole system though. 22. Hi I justed posted my winch on arbtrader but the pics won't show, so try it here..
  23. here's bit of my setup. Major (1955) on new tyres, good for skidding. dubble drum ingland winch (3000) good for winching to grab. no anchor but high speed, even at tickover! A snatch block indeed essential! might sell Major if interested (as also got 5t uniforest on JD) good thing independent rear brakes as pulling wheelies is easiy done.. (cast iron front wheels but no additional weights on front. if too big/heavy just reduce the size of the tree! got two cables so still very swift job. agreed not safest, I operate the clutch from behind iso seat, easier and safer?
