1. All the things on here I have read I aggree with. I find myself muttering most days. Unnecessary use of silkys drives me mad and mincing climbers who spend time removing every little bit of Ivey on a dismantle. I think most of its down to the stress of being a boss and running a business. I do have some really good lads but in the past its not been like that.
2. Hi I'm looking for a subby groundsman / climber. We are based callington cornwall area. Send a message with your qualifications to
3. Timber wolf / Entec chipper | eBay
4. I have been climbing nearly 20 years now, trained by a ex Royal Marine, I still remember his words well.always Be efficient. Always consider your groundsman.cut things smaller or use the crane. Make everything straight ,brash and timber, stacks better plus chips quicker. No dog dick's please.
5. Think it has been done, fule lines changed on the top of the tank to a more rigged one so it won't slip off, It will run when fill of carb cleaner and warm. But as soon as it's cold it won't start, or fire.
6. How do they make a saw in a factory mass production that can be so hit and miss,, a few of the lads that work for us have 540 xp's other than rear av springs snapping off the body there saws run fine, one lad has a 201t and he also loves it. Then you get mine with 100 hours about 2 years old treated with care that has been nothing but a nightmare. It isn't rocket science. The 200t was one of the best tophandles made, (bold statement ) but true, Husqvarna are now saying use xp oil or they won't cover it under warranty. Sounds like a get out claws to me to try and cover their arse, sorry should just say 020 was the best for us old skool arb boys. I hope they fix it or it will be a bow saw from here on and me sending abuse to husqvarna every day to make a good saw, rant over,
7. I think you might be right, but the way it has been made makes these people who work on are broken saws every day fitters because they can't fix these saws, I have a huge amount of husqvarna saws none have ever given me so much trouble as the 540 xp, I can't help but feel I will never perchase another husqvarna chainsaw until these problems have been resolved. Sthil I just hope are better, all reports say they are.
8. So I have taken this saw to the shop 3 times now this week, Was running fine then stopped and wouldn't start, Chap fixed a fuel line said that was the problem, ran the saw about a hour then it stopped working, wouldn't start, back to shop, plugged it in, no faults, 100 plus hours, 1,170 starts, sprayed with carb cleaner, fired up works fine for hour, following day nothing, back to shop wanting to drop kick it it's so frustrating, updated on computer, more carb cleaner runs fine in shop, take it to site yet again nothing, Is this a case of 540 xp being the worse saw ever made or it addicted to carb cleaner, not great you have to fill it with ether to run, should I climb with easy start, ? Any ideas ?
9. Good day for networking, had potential for so more, a local wood fair like they had a roadford would be great, info was great on funding just wish someone would do all that horrible paperwork for us, Was good to catch up with some friendly arb boys, cheers.
10.
Nice one cheers for that. Every day is a school day,

11. I have a u900, for sale with a hiab 550, email me on if you want photos
12. I pay about 400 a year, this includes timber haulage, that's with the nfu, might depend on if it's rated as ag or not,
13. Why can't I post pics,? Do I have to do this on my laptop not pad, I can't seem to be able to work it out....
14. Hi all just put a fair load of wind blown trees roadside, What's the price per cube m, It's got shakes so no good as timber, Most are at least two half to 3 foot across and 6 ft long plus,
15. Jon weatherhead, posh paddocks, countryside conservation, we do loads of work with him, he owns a reform mounty and mulcher, plus a rc mulcher, both will go anywhere. PM me if you want contact.
16. Electricity board cutters might do the work, put it in as a customer request, see what they say,
17. I have a entec / early timberwolf for sale served me very well, will service before sold, will also repaint, just to tidy it up a bit, I will be honest, it's old and a bit tatty around the edges but works really well, never let me down, only selling because of a new one bought because I didn’t want to pay to much tax. £3000 ono
18. Folding bucket for £7 the best thing I ever used, drill a hole in bottom to tie off end of line, sorted, stay away from anything that has arborist written on it, it will be well expensive,[ame=http://www.amazon.co.uk/Generic-Portable-Outdoor-Camping-Folding/dp/B00EODOZMS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1451940236&sr=8-2&keywords=Folding+bucket]Generic Portable Outdoor Camping Folding Car Washing 9L Fishing Hiking Bucket Barrel(Blue): Amazon.co.uk: Sports & Outdoors@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/41bEAgEswwL.@@AMEPARAM@@41bEAgEswwL[/ame]
19. My 540 xp is broken, leaving me without a saw. Will husqvarna compensate us all for the days lost due to having to fix this saw over and over again, the saw is great when it works, mine has done the same as above, av mount broken off the body, my saw is never abused I am the sole user. People who have had the new up rated spring mount have you had more problems? Can I take it to any husqvarna dealership to get it fixed or do I have to take it back to place of perchased.
20. There are things a tractor could not do that my mog can but it's also vise versa also, I find in this job it's always a compromise with trucks, why could there not be a ultimate arb truck within a sensible price range. The mog is the closest thing to perfection but, as everyone says licence laws are a bit of a cluster f##k. I personally haven't ever had problems but I'm sure in London I would worry about using it a little more, the best people to coment on this thred would be 1st call as they run a fair few, or contact atkinson vos, there always happy to help,
21. Vosa are your only problem, the traffic police are not intreasted until there is a acident, I'm selling my unimog , been great but need a small loader tractor, I love my mog it will be missed, running it on white and having it on a hgv you might as well just get a big tractor with 50k box and avoid the hgv licence.
22. Well I haven't got on well, my saw is still broken, I can't ever put my saw in the shop to be repaired as it's now in constant use, it is out of warranty, so think it's time to strip it down over Christmas and start hunting for a new case and av spring, have they uprated the rear av mount do you know, or is it time to fix my 200t,
23. If it is a option fell and leave in full length for a lorry or stack and bio mass, I have contacts for haulage and chipping if needed,
