Morning all, Fine weather day looming. "Day off" today. Helping a friend collect some demolition joists, levelling topsoil next door for young neighbours lawn project, taking out 3 dead yews in a hedge and replacing them with large pot grown ones for a customer. I'm happy - I woke up this morning, some won't do so again. Stay safe, have fun all.

I have no experience of the models you refer to, but I have a HSA 100, using the AP batteries. It is incredibly good and the battery lasts for ages on a charge.

I changed the blades on my Husky out front mower yesterday. Put it on cut level 4, like I have been doing so far this season - absolutely scalped the grass, had to put it up to level 7. I think I had put them on upside down when I sharpened them in January. I struggle to see how they had cut as well as they did the wrong way round, but nothing else explains why I had to revert to a higher cut setting, that being the one I used last year.🙈

I connected the battery on my Countax mower the wrong way once. It blew the printed circuit board. Why it has a pcb is beyond me. Replacement pcb failed after 3 months. Simple basic wiring mod and hey presto, no need for pcb. Only thing lost is a functining hour meter.

I know there have been some not so positive comments about Northern Arb Supplies, but I have never had an issue with the other part of the business, Saturn knives when my chipper blades go in by courier for sharpening.

I wish more potential customers would ask to see copies of insurance certificates. I always attach mine to to the email I send the quote with. I live in hope it would root out some of the gypo/cowboy types. But then again, there are those punters who just want cheap cheap cheap, regardless of risk/liability. -
Yep, if they won't pay what it is worth then away it goes by whatever means is most expedient for the current owner of the "waste".

Very belated good morning all, Lazy start back to work. Have taken on elderly neighbour's mowing and shrub maintenance. Ideal rehab day on out front ride on, with steering wheel knob, so can use one handed.
