  1. I found the Solidur Infinity Trousers to be excellent. Very hard wearing, absolutely massive leg vents on the back, and I think you can get them in different leg lengths too. I got mine from Chris Forestry 👍🏼
  2. I must be in the lucky 1% mate 😘
  3. I think it was the Logbullet operator who made it not glamorous 🤣
  4. There always seems to be a drought of good workers, it’s depressing. I had one great lad come on as a subby, but as is usual, he was off to bigger and better things and you can’t blame him. He jetted off to NZ and was heli logging on his second day, I can’t compete with that! 🤣
  5. Hello all, I moved into a rental property on the 1st of February, it was handled by a local estate agent. I signed a 6 month AST and paid a deposit. When I moved in, the landlord met me to hand over keys etc and told me I could stay as long as I wanted, his last tenants were in for 4.5 years, make the house my own etc etc. 6 weeks later, he rang me to tell me he was selling the property. Clearly this put me in a predicament as I needed to find a new place to live so I could set down some roots for me and the children. I parted ways with my former partner in December, all very amicable I must add, but kids taking it badly as can be expected. Rental properties around my way are scarce, with demand outstripping supply about 4 to 1. Luckily I managed to find somewhere, but I had to move in on 1st of June or risk losing it. I approached the landlord to ask if he could help me by releasing me from my tenancy early. I was only in this situation as he had suddenly decided to sell the house. He said the best he could do was let me off with the last months payment, but would return my deposit (which is being held by a company called My Deposits).I was proposing to leave after 4 months, so 2 months left in original AST. I figured if this was the price I had to pay, so be it. I have found out today he has now taken the house off the market, and a new tenant is moving in tomorrow on a 12 month AST! So he has taken an extra month payment off me, and is being paid by new tenant also. Have I just been unlucky? Or do I have some legal right to challenge him? I’ve not got my deposit back yet. I’ve never resorted to aggression but I am very much tempted to drive to his house and forcibly remove my deposit and the extra month he has taken from me in blood.
  6. I was converted to comms by the righteous @Gray gitof this parish many years ago. Started with Sena and have stuck with them since. I have used the Stihl ones though and thought they were ok. I’m waiting to see if I can get my hands on the new Husqvarna Xcom offering to try them out. Basically, I’ll never go back to not using them as they are a literal game changer on many levels.
  7. Agree with Matty here. I love my AGT850 but it most certainly is a low slung machine. The low stump police definitely need to be out when your using it in the woods!
  8. As a general rule, if a customer says “do you want a tea?”, it’s best not to ask for coffee and vice versa. Folks tend to offer what they like/feel comfortable making. I remember someone fetching our brews once, I’d asked for coffee, my colleague for tea. You literally couldn’t tell them apart by looking at them. Both got sloshed in the hedge at the first opportunity!

That's interesting to hear about the remap. I spoke with my local dealer about it, and he was adamant it would void the warranty, even though it has Isuzu's name on it. He has spoken at length with a few of the higher ups in Isuzu UK who all said the same thing. I'm the end I went with the Nav as it has 190bhp standard, and once the warranty is up I'll be taking it to Pendle Performance for a proper tune up.

I’ve always been of the mindset that there is no replacement for displacement. Before I recently bought my Navara, I test drove a brand new Dmax for the weekend. I felt the 1.9 was very lacking in the power department. I’d have hated to have strapped the trailer and Logbullet to it on a daily basis. I know a few lads with the 2.5 and they rate them.
  11. I can confirm, a Crocky ported 572 is flipping sensational! And he has also done my 550 MK2 and my 390, which is equally as breathtaking to use 😎💪🏻
  12. I’ve just gone down this route myself or at least done similar. I had a LWB Shogun for work, and a Passat CC for home. I’ve sold the Shogun (the Passat is still for sale if anyone is keen!) and bought a 2020 Navara. It has towing and load capacity I need for work, and it can accommodate the family easily enough too. Comfy to be in, getting 30+ mpg on longer runs, I’m happy with it.

  14. I use these guys. Just renewed with them for second year. Good on price, absolutely top level customer service too. I can speak to a number of different folks there, they will all bend over backwards to help out. Highly recommended!
