Hi James,

apologies, your message didn't show up on my phone so Ive only just got it.

With regard to work, Id suggest looking on Buy online and sell with NZ's #1 auction & classifieds site | Trade Me as theres always jobs on there under arborist. You could also look on Seek. Alternatively, both Treescape and asplundh have agreements with immigration with regard to bringing in overseas workers which could ultimately make your life easier with regard to a work visa. They are the two biggest employers in the country but you may find yourself just a number although a lot of the guys there are good guys. It depends on your qualifications, experience and where you want to work. Feel free to ask any questions, Regards, Ian

I am a 24 year old Climber/Groundsman working in the south of england qualified and practised in: CS30 Chainsaw Maintenance and Cross-Cutting (QCF) CS31 Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mm (QCF) CS32 Felling and Processing Trees OVER 380mm (QCF) CS38 Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue (QCF) CS39 Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw using Free Fall Techniques. If you could be of any help or offer any advice in finding work I would very much appreciate it. Many thanks James Codling [email protected]

 7.
Hi James. I am writing to you in response to your canadian query. Have you secured your work visa as thats the vital first step. I live and work in Whistler. You wont have much luck with tree work that late in the year as work stops in november when the snow arrives. The standard of climbing is really quite high, and you are certainly expected to work hard. There is a good number of english arborist around vancouver, and I would think with your experience this would be a good place to start. The certs dont have much value, but your knowledge and apptitude are important. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks Paddy.
