  1. Looking for a little advice I've recently asked a local farmer for a piece of his yard for me to work from and he's happy to do so. I will store a few bits there along with a firewood etc... He asked me what the going rate was for rent per month? I want a win-win deal where we're both happy... Any suggestions? What do others pay? Cheers
  2. Same kettle of fish as the zigzag then? Disappointing.
  3. Roger that thanks for the advice 👍🌴🌲🌳
  4. Spot on. They seem to less popular due to there being more Stihl dealers im guessing. Not too heavy at the end of a day's work?
  5. Has anybody got one of these? If so are they reliable? Wanting to stay away from Stihl 4-mix.
  6. Very common for Crack Willow trunks or main branches to crack either along or down the grain. Not usually a problem for the tree or the owner 👍

  11. By using it on everything have you come across any problems that you wouldn't encounter by using a hitch climber set up?
  12. Morning all, Thinking about purchasing a zigzag, Iv seen a lot of threads rating them. Are there any of you who use it on every climb you conduct or do you just use it for the big stuff? I'd like to just use the one system on everything if possible.....
  13. I've spent a good chunk of time in the forces traveling all over the place then have worked offshore in Africa earning good money but am going full time arb this year. It's taken me a while to realise but money is not everything, it gives you choice but is rarely all it's cracked up to be. I agree with the lifestyle comment. 👍
  14. Does anybody know a good video explaining chogging down using rigging techniques...?
  15. £50 up to about £500 really depends on what you want etc... If you have a good idea of what you want then I'd say £100-£200 for a good quality one. Ask to see a designers previous work for an idea.
  16. An 'elevator pitch' is what you would pitch to a potential customer if you only had a few seconds. Anybody got any top tips to clinch the deal with customers when meeting for the first time....
  17. I wondered when this would turn into a chipper-off.... 🎣
  18. Would you say a socket set was essential? I see uses for everything else mentioned...
  19. Lucky I came back before I purchased. Good advice
  20. What generic tools/ others items would you recommend to keep in the truck or van for a towable wood chipper? Both general maintenance and for emergencies.... 🔨🔩🔧
