  1. I'm having the same dilemma and as this thread clearly shows the 4 mix Stihl are a no-go... I'm guna take the husky 525 route I think 👍
  2. I like.... Not cheap though :-/
  3. Looking for a good chogging down saw. Either a Stihl 361, Stihl 460, Husky 372 or Husky 365 if anybody is selling or wanting rid :-)

It caught me out as well. Take the spark plug out and put a bit of clean rope in to stop the Pistons moving. Then undo the nut by giving it a little in a clockwise motion. It has to be that way otherwise the nut would come undone when the sprocket moves round with daily use....
  5. I think that's going to be my problem... Finding/ making the time when I could be outside pottering about! Discipline is needed.
  6. Personally having looked at ISA arborist route I think the level 2 would be better.... No further fees, plus it all comes across as very American to me.... Hurahhhhh and all that....
  7. Great. The people at Treelife said the same thing so I'm defo leaning that way. Thanks.
  8. Torn which Level 2 Cert in Arb course to do! Will be via distance learning with either Capel Manor, Myerscough or HCC. Can anybody push me one way or another with their experiences? Thanks.
  9. So you sharpen saws in the evening after a hard day or get up a little earlier to do them in the morning?
  10. Fredward I have looked at that but everybody tends to go with the Stihl. Is it possible to buy just the engine or do you have to get the strimmer head and then the other heads separately? Plenty of power?
  11. That's some great advice I will start doing the same, no surprises that way I suppose, only good ones if you have a good accountant! I like to spend 1 hour to get all my records and books sorted on a Sunday evening and plan for the week ahead so I know roughly what to expect that coming week... Anymore for anymore...?
  12. What systems or habits do you put in place so that your business is more streamlined and efficient? Any handy ones you can think of?
  13. Go-Pro mounted on the front of my climbing helmet with the start stop remote on my wrist so no messing about with starting the camera when you can't see it. Set the mode to record a video but every 10 seconds take a picture. Best of both worlds then :-)
  14. Where do I check the serial number? Iv got it here... Redwood?
  15. Treesnatcher would you say the price is a fair one then considering the 500 hours?
  16. Not from dealer from a nice guy who takes them in and refurbs them... I thought it looked in decent nick also. Right then think my decision has been made. Into the Lions den I go...
  17. For what it's worth here are a couple of pictures.....
  18.

  19. What problems will one get with the 4 mix models??
  20. Thanks Sussex groundie. I ask because the weight difference between the 100 and 130 seems to be about 1 or 2lb's... Surely it would be silly not to go for the more powerful engine or am I missing something?
  21. Hmmm... Ok thanks for heads up. They both seem to have great reviews and not many have a bad word to say about the German beast Schliesing... Any more opinions would be gratefully received... I put a wanted add on Gumtree and got a few responses ;-)
