  1. I just started using the forum again, coming in to a period i can take an hour off my day. I have seen posts asking the very same questions i had myself when i started out on my own. Pricing and how to grow the business, how to get work ? How to get that money coming in to pay your bills each month. When i started my Stump Grinding business i didn't have any contracts, no clients nothing, i didn't even have the money to buy the machine, i went to many banks to get the money needed for the machine. I applied to two loans at the same time, i borrowed 30 k. This is how it's done. If you believe more in sleep then grinding, you will be a consumer not a producer, Get over your fears, refuse being a average, stop wasting valuable time, what ever it is, keep going forward, and get it done, no matter whats in your way. It's no over till you say YOU WON !, JUST DO IT... The day got 24 hours, sleep for 6 and work the rest of that time. And remember if you are a average, you will attract average, You put in 40 hours a week and you think you are great ? ?? The output have to be outstanding to become great. The great puts in 126 hours each week. If you wan't to be great change your input. Don't ever be afraid to fail, if you fail you stand the fuck back up again, and again and again. Never give up, feel no fear you hold the power.. It's your Choice

  14. i Have a spare hour so thought I post a post here. i been working like I didn’t think was possible. And I’m still alive. my stump grinding business going real good, learned the predator inside out, I’m really pleased with the machine. It’s a great all rounder . The drive and passion is stronger for everyday that passes. Just want more and more jobs. Hope you are all succeeding out there
  15. Today everything is done by the book, real breaks, safety before speed, specially for climbers. And a real good understanding of the job for all involved. The crazy days are over.
  16. I would not recommend it, looking back on it, yes indeed foolish.
  17. Thanks for your kind words Christopher, you are indeed a gentleman.
  18. After so much hard work, after giving everything i have and more, kept my mind positive. Sometimes 3 days work no sleep, shaking with chest pains and laughter it off as something great and positive. Finally I have landed a big ongoing contract, got all battery powered husqvarna gear believing this is the future, got the best risk assessments and method statements I could find. And a proper insurance. I filled my credit cards to max, took loans on my house, to be able getting in heavy equipment. Finished 3 contracts paid all off and got a long term contract. If you ever struggle remember never stop never give up, just keep going no matter what. It’s all in your mind. If you can imagine it you will have it.
  19. No it’s better getting Stump grinding direct.
  20. Sounds a 500 pound grind and a 300 extra to remove depends on access. Also depends what kind of machine you use. You might be like be, just buy the thing and learn later lol [emoji23]
