I do a version often that I find the most efficient starting on the far side of the limb saw under it bar pointing up to sky cut with a pushing chain then in one fluid motion bring it under the cut making the under cut then pulling chain side cut infront of me then top cut saw never leaves the wood till limb falls to hard describe in writing especially me been illiterate 🙄 the wood fibers left end up looking semi box/ v cut

  9. Big day on two conifers today one of the trees had a really bad split in you can see it in the pics just

Soles of my feet are knackered had to have injections in both feet a few weeks ago was struggling to walk with the pain went to see a specialist far to many years days hrs on end spent on spikes I've tried every boot I don't think there is the perfect one some will suite one person and not another

  13. To be precise I weigh 121kg allot lighter than I was a couple of years ago I miss been bigger but the trade off is worth it I have so much less back pain now [emoji108]

  16. Nice steady day tomorrow log the wood up and have a final blow off of the garage roof hows the chipper hunt going mick ? I am sort of wanting a big towe behind machine but minimum 10inch capacity would like more really but there just doesn't seem to be any decent used machines available
  17. Few from a very wide beech that was over allot of targets rigged it down onto garage roof then lifted off with grab and put it down behind chipper was a long but enjoyable day
