  1. Hi Jon you can't buy a makeyD over there is you ain't got a platinum card
  2. Yep regular staff on her ward supposed to get 3 nights every other month it's their little bonus . It's now 4 months since her last night shift. And these agency staff are really that lazy . Last week a bloke turned up to work and sat there and didn't want to do anything til the wife told him to help he replied he was only there to escort a patient to a nearby hospital but that wasn't going to happen for another 4 hours. Good on Mrs R because she turned on him and said " I earn £7.50 an hour and you being paid £22 per hour so get off your fat arse and help here or use the door "
  3. Yes very very true in the case of NHS. The wife felt like walking yesterday. Her night shifts were taken off her again this month and given to agency again. These agency staff have their travel costs paid for and where as she will get £17.50 per hour for a night shift they will receive £50 plus per hour and very nice travelling allowance and to top it off they just sit and watch
  4. Mornin Jon . Timon lives in the Beverley hills part of Worcestershire and I live in the Jeremy Kyle bit
  5. There' s a lad in ron smiths used to work with him, he said he'd try to find out. In the mean time Mark where are you My wife's bank account Is ready to be emptied
  6. Thank you. I just thought it was about time we stopped sifting the manure and realised that's our hard earned is being wasted.
  7. Yep Timon he was . Great advice and saved me a lot of money starting out. I asked where he'd gone but they said they didn't know. I was hoping Another Arb supplier had snapped him up because they'd have my business
  8. To be serious for the moment I think we are getting sidetracked just a little. Britains current situation has little to do with banks lending or sub prime mortgages. It's to do with monies in and monies out. Monies in is the taxes we pay and monies out is the services we receive from the state. We have a nurse on £16000 a year and 4 managers on £50000 plus to tell her what to do even though they have no medical training. We won't have a full compliment of nurses on a ward because they must give agency staff rights to work who are paid 4 times as much. Also before a bin man goes out to pick up a bag of rubbish . 9 superiors sat in the yard picking up £450000 between them must decide if he can go and pick it up. That sadly is our problem we are wasting money hand over fist and it's us poor sods out there that are picking up the bill. We should all go lefty, work for the government, all become managers and retire with fat pensions. The only trouble is there will be no one out there slogging their guts out to pay our wages
  9. Erm yes Mark but we live in a forgiving society so we must not judge people for their past discrepancies. Yes they allowed fat cats to bankrupt us but they also a habit of bankrupting us themselves. and yes they like to give their mates presents such as gold etc but we must keep giving them a chance so that one day they may change and actually do something right
  10. Hi Timon if you mean Mark at Buxtons then do you know where He's gone to
  11. I don't think we'd fit in up there Jon we a bit too sofisticated for them
  12. I'd say it will be the one using a speedboat Jon
  13. Hi Tom it'll be interesting if anyone can reply to that. I wouldn't stay in today waiting for a reply
  14. No ones mentioned police have they. I bought a pair 16 years ago and still good and just bought a new pair last year . Really worth a go imo
  15. This one is gonna take a while to forget And policy's that should now be in place are for these dodgy payday loans who feed off the ones with the least money . Any party that claims they can make it better over night will probably encourage stupid lending to give people false hope again
  16. Yes and very good question. since it went t*ts up the FSA now crawl over everyone. And you made a very good point about the banks conduct. Lots of banks made sure they didn't miss out on the misery. So instead of muddying their good name they set up lending houses in a different name. Principality bank was one good example. They are a trusted high street lender but they owned Nemo and those bar stewards were the worst scammers with PPI
  17. TA your spot on that's the only way. But being in the industry at that time it was a joke and sadly it was allowed to carry on without check. Yes the regulatory bodies could of done more. And when the usual lending houses in the UK had no more money to lend Germany took over. In that August by the second week a lot of mortgage pulled their offers as they simply had nothing left and out of the blue DB mortgage came in and offered the customers even larger amounts. Most people won't know who DB are . They are Deutch Bank.
  18. Sorry but the mortgages and secured loans are strictly regulated by the FSA . The FSA I appreciate cannot set lending levels, they can and do regulate how loans are conducted. One example . 3 bed terraced house in mountain ash value went from £25000 to £135000 to pay off credit card debts car loans and leave them with £20000 spending money. The values were only too happy to give that valuation knowing that at FSA wouldn't be checking . Mortgage Brokers weren't receiving or were worried at FSA audits. So sorry to argue but yes the country could of given a reality check but chose not to
  19. Some say the crash was orchestrated and some say it wasn't. But I was working in mortgages then and strangely enough in the August everyone did record lending you could get a mortgage on an outside sh*t house. Then September everything went Pete tong. That's all I can say was families in Britain were led to believe that they could live way beyond their means and debt wasn't debt it was living off the supposed increase in house values. Whoever lead the country made no attempt to give us a reality check until it was too late. I suppose the feel good factor to win votes was more important than the financial well being of the nation.
  20. Paul I have try Mrs R with that line but I don't think it'll work on her:confused1:
