  1. Evening gents, I’m wondering if anyone has any useful links or info on splicing rigging rings. I have virtually no splicing experience, but I’ve been informed splicing them is relatively easy? I just don’t know where to start.. must be cheaper than buying them ready made. Cheers
  2. Isn’t it a rigging line ?
  3. Mine does. Can’t see it being a problem though?
  4. Afternoon gents, Not sure if this is the right place to post this, let me know if not. I’m selling my P- Reg 90, need a smaller van for getting into LEZ. Got a folder full of history, lots of work done recently, well looked after and in excellent condition. Recently serviced, inspected and MOT’d. My number is 07766660818, or shoot me a message on here. Cheers
  5. Nice edit, miss the work and way of life out there.
  6. Fairly sure you’ll be wanting to put the friction above the hitch. I have seen a set up with an o ring above the hitch, with a short tether connected to the hitch climber. And run the rope through the same way as you have here.
  7. So at what point/angle does using two pulleys not share the load and actually increase the load on the rigging point? I'm a little confused.
  8. Bump bump

  13. Zig zag.
  14. Yeah man I have the super light. I and the normal one before. Obviously lighter, but the light version has straps that are loosened/ tightened, rather than the clips on the normal one. Which can be a pain to step in and out of.
  15. Bump.
  16. Chestnuts are ones to be wary of. Old hollow street pollards
  17. The lime should be fine. You can rig it down small ish, there's loads of big limes around here that are old pollards. Well into 90ft too. Done a fair few of them. The ash I'd be more wary of, but it's not exactly very big
  18. Second that on the zig. Zag, you can more or less jump straight on it as Steve said and it tends and handles perfectly

    My accident

Hi Sean. I've been keeping on eye on your diary mate and admire your determination and optimism. I had a bad accident nearly 8 weeks ago , fell 45ft onto my back. Broke my spine in 4 places. Luckily nothing else and doctors couldn't believe it. I had no feeling in my legs when I landed and for the next two days then it came back suddenly. I spent 7 weeks on my back in hospital. Now at home laying down all braced up looking forward to rehab. Things get better dude. Optimism is the key to getting through it, soon you'll be on your feet again too and talking about it.

    Help please.

Chasing up HSE at the moment, recovering thanks, slowly going to take a few months. Don't want to go into too much detail about the incident , but I'll be chasing compensation for sure. I don't want any drawn out legal battles as much as the next guy but it seems it's what must be done .
  25. Hi guys, wasn't sure where to put this topic but I'm reaching out for some advice. I was involved in a serious accident at work and have just got out of hospital. I haven't heard anything from the company or HSE and I'm looking for some advice as to how to proceed. Is it worth approaching HSE directly? Does anyone know of any good personal injury lawyers or law firms who have dealt with Arb cases before? Any help would be appreciated as I need to get the ball rolling immediately. Cheers
