  15. In all circumstances like this the site specific risk assessment and method statement should have highlighted any serious hazards and control measures put in place. If then an employee is still not satisfied to carry the work, especially more than one, then a re-evaluation of the risks should be undertaken.

Poor soils, we are not feeding the soil anywhere near enough as we should which has s huge consequence to the life and cycles in the soil, many farmers just replace the bare minimum they need too N P K etc situations like this just show how unsustainable agriculture is. If only there was a simple solution
  20. Build up a healthy contingency fund
  21. Work out your daily costs and a reasonable wage to take each day and a little profit for the business, that's your day rate, then work out how many days it will take to complete. Obviously knowing how long it will take and how to do it depends on your experience. Be safe!
  22. In a woodland situation where light is at a premium and a more balanced playing field ivy generally isn't a problem and doesn't tend to swamp trees, but out in the open I think it's a different story
  23. Check first for nests drays etc ivy is a fantastic habitat for wildlife if managed correctly. I would maybe selectively leave some of the trees but manage the upper canopy to make sure the tree revieves enough light.
