  4. Would i be mental to get this instead of a tranny and put a chip box on the back. I heard they are poor on deisal as constantly 4x4 and i probably wont fit a great deal of chip on. I don't mind shoveling ?
  5. I'm looking for a Transit tipper or similar etc Budget £3000 If you are looking to sell your own, or your upgrading please PM me Thanks
  6. Brazilian jui jitsu is where its at Been training a year now, Changed my life. Totally de frags my brain at the end of the day. Its one of the only Martial arts where you can go full tilt in sparring and not get hurt or injured. I would highly recommend it to climbers if you want to get into shape, i developed muscles in places i didn't know existed lol
  7. Unless something better comes up i might just go with one, i have used them before, a good friend used one for tree work for years, ex Birmingham council, she never let him down in six years. I think the only thing we did was do some welding under the seat. Granted they are not the quickest or pretty to look at, but the year and model i'd be looking at has basically got Transit running gear, more horse power than the old models and a slightly more comfey interior. If it does me a couple of years until i can upgrade then i'll be delighted, most my budget will be attached to the back on the tow bar lol:confused1:

  11. Get yourself down to some of the big Arb shows this summer and you can not only network with other climbers you can watch the tree climbing competitions ( work climbs etc ) and also demo different climbing techniques that retailers have set up in the trees, sure to get some good advice. Also if you haven't already thought about it, do your Cs 38 and 39 NPTC! Definitely avoid climbing on your own if you are unsure of anything, thats just playing with fire. Good luck:thumbup1:

  18. I thought as much just wanted to be sure though. Im finding it hard to find chippers from reputable companies, want to try and avoid flea bay and gum tree. E-arborist has a few as do mason's, if anyone knows of any other good companies to look up please share.
  19. LOL i certainly don't want to rape small trees
  20. USED Wood Chippers, SCHLIESING 105 MX - 4.7" - CATEGORY: WOOD CHIPPERS offered for sale £4750.00 So i am nearing the completion of setting up my little business and the chipper is next on the cards. I originally intended to go for a 6 inch road tow TW or Jensen until i came across the above, my thinking for this being that i intend to keep hold of as much timber as possible and that in most cases i won't be needing to chip larger branches. This got me thinking maybe i don't need to stretch my budget to get a 6 inch TW etc and go for this. I know Schliesing are well built and reliable. One thing i will say is most my experience in the last ten years has been with 6inch and larger so i have no idea what this chipper is likely to be capable of Please share your thoughts
