  1. Yer that would be great, i could do with something like that, though i wish I had 15 jobs to price a day!!!😊😊
  2. That's a good idea, I suggested it to the wife, the second word was off!! 😆😆
  3. Is an alternative having a small van I.e a caddy or connect and letting the pick up pull the tipper trailer and then the small van also usable for pricing etc for pulling the chipper?
  4. What sort of weight is it with 5.5cubes in?
  5. Gave the truck a good polish yesterday as it was as dull as a few rounds of golf. Nice n shiny now 😊
  6. Ok so most are saying truck rather than trailer, I am going to give it some thought as I hate buying trucks!!! 😀😀in the mean time cheers for replys etc.
  7. Does that work out cheaper in the long run or just more convenient?
  8. I use a ford ranger pick up as my daily truck, saws and kit in the back seats and chip goes in bed. I fill the truck up most days with chip in fact I need to tip most days half way through and if we have a big job on I am constantly back and forward! I couldn't be without a 4x4 up here in sunny Cumbria and I can't sell my pick up as I have put quite a bit into it. What I am thinking is either getting a tipper i.e a transit or something which will be used for bigger jobs when there is a load of chip or getting a tipping trailer to chip into? I am weighing up fuel costs as I would be making double journeys in the pick up or running a second vehicle?? What do others find works best, I notice some of you have second trucks, but are they only there for having multiple gangs of people going to another job? Any pros or cons would be great cheers.
  9. What's the big thing on the front links?
  10. New airstreams and I keep rubbing the muck off!
  11. I fancy making custom chip sides for a tt85 as it doesn't have the mesh sided frame....any more custom pics
  12. Haha yer a happy but expensive day!!!
  13. Yer in desperate need of a chip flap!! Only problem is I need roof racks too!!! 😳
  14. Just ordered my first proper chipper, picking it up tomorrow!! Just want to say a big thanks to Jason from orange plant Cannock as he was great to deal with!! Green mech arborist 130, just what we needed as I've outgrown my cs100, onwards and upwards!! 😊😊😊
  15. Nice one, there is something nice about owning something for a long time, getting your monies worth and refurbing it and starting again 😊
  16. My biggest problem with it is the grass is higher than the hedge, cant think how to cut it back without being on hands knees for a few days!!
  17. I am about to buy my first chipper, GM arborist 130. My reasons for wanting this one is cause it seems well engineered, has a soundproof cover over the engine and it's pretty light. But with so many choices its hard to know if I am making the right one, there is only 2 of us so I don't need a machine with massive productivity/capacity and the majority of my work is domestic however there can be some big jobs from time to time and I am in Cumbria so you can find yourself in some pretty out of the way places!! I have a ford ranger d/c pick up with a custom made canopy so my chip capacity isn't massive either. I was just wondering if some of you may be able to give me some pointers as to what I need to think about before committing to a particular machine. Any advice would be helpful, cheers. 😀
  18. Thanks fellas all appreciated :-)
  19. Cheers mate that's would be great cheers
  20. Hi been asked to look at a beech hedge which was planted last year with no guards around the stems. It was planted into short grass but now obviously the grass is taller than the hedge. Does anyone know of a selective weed killer which can kill the grass but leave the trees alone. Cheers
