  8. Hi guys, does anyone know of an app for calculating log weight? I have a calculator spread sheet but it would be simpler to just I put tree, length, width and an app give me an approx weight. Does this exist?
  9. Not really, on sand yes but it's not something that's recommended for mud, also it's a faff putting air in and out!

  11. Coopers mate, had em on my disco when I was a 4x4 instructor, even novice drivers had issues getting it stuck. Side walls are excellent as well, used the side walls few times to gain extra traction in snow or deep mud. Not too noisy and wear well.

  14. We live aboard mendiplugs, have done for 18 years. Selling up and getting a pile of bricks next year. Fed up with it . Not doing the k and a till January, checked the list and it should be clear, needs to be coz the Mrs has a job in wells and I have one in Bristol!

  16. We had dead locks on the doors of ours when we worked in London. Had a lock smith install them.
  17. I will have a butchers in my pile of old crap I call useful stuff. Used to have a hi cap so might still have the bits you need. Failing that call dunsfold Land Rover.
  18. 1-2" no worries, I ran that on a 90 for years and then on a d2. The d2 did work as a training vehicle coz I was an off rd instructor at the time. I found it did improve the 90s handling off rd. Have a chat with the boys at Devon 4x4 , top people with sound knowledge.

    Did the experts actually see the job? I got a call some years ago from the Beeb asking how much for such and such coz they had a sting program on the go. So I did an over the phone price with the usual caveat about having no idea what the job looks like .

  22. Not owned one, but my mate has. He has used one since last summer working on Dartmoor. And he is a beast on kit.
  23. Got my hill coats, expensive gore tex. and a cracking army one in dpm. Can't even walk on the yard with em on without getting carded for not being in ppe. Just wish Clarke would make there's in a hi viz, I can't be the only one with this requirement.
