  1. thing is tho it takes class to dodge gnomes...
  2. I agree with that .this is why im leaning towards a heavy sthil for rough work.it needs to be able to cut thick oak and trash hazel,I just dont think tthe small huskys are good for that.I use a small sthill as a chipper saw and its ok but no good for veg clearance. i like the 346xp but again think it wont last past 2 years.
  3. lol 357xp.......allways good.easy to sort them saws.I have a spare bar and chain for a 357 on 325" if any use to you.tis near new....... yep so my point is about the 391 sthill, shame it has a plastic case as it would make a decent grunge saw. so back to the 441 then.I think that will make a nice trash saw what do you think?
  4. agreed,6 months cashflow is required these days .its very difficult to keep up.
  5. yep the 1.9tdi is good. Most of them are high miles now so worth looking out for seat toledo tdi as there low miles.still expensive tho. The 2.0tdi has head issues.still over priced tho.Kias are good diesel cars and the hyuandi toyota copies are as good.I just dont see the point in spending on expensive cars anymore as the cheap ones are made in the same way these days.
  6. yeah but not in the real world..... all utilitys are ages to pay forsure.Even large companies take months to pay subcontract companys even if there fuel bill puts em out of cashflow.not fun at the moment getting bills paid on time..
  7. yep its 2 months now......its a pain but just add a days labour to every quote and your still be cheap.... i do commercial custermors at the last 2 weeks of every month so the pay works out right...
  8. yes,ive been on landrovers for 30yrs or more and it took me 8months to find the current 1 i have... go steady or get burned.if you need advise do send me pics of wagons and ill i.d. them for you. i have freinds in landy world so if you need a wagon i can ask whats about on the private club sales as these are ushall maintained to a cost no isssue standard.
  9. yeah the blue dolmar!!! i like the caseings but as you say... so i just cant bring myself to spend 1k on a husky to get burned by it.how do you find them in a commercial enviroment?are the 560s best as single operator saws or can they do the time as an all round smash up bashing stump grinding hazel coppiceing ferrari?
  10. will do.I answered there questions honestly so if i get a tug ill go for it!!!
  11. i fittede a new gearbox on the drive in a few hours..... ringers are only spotted by real geeks these days as they are just nuts and bolts. You have to be anal about part shapes to spot the differences. engine and drivetrain are very easy to swop so dont be fooled by "pro" conversions.
  12. over priced,my hyuandi has 140kmiles on it and is as good if not better than any highmile audi or vw.parts are half the price too....
  13. used to use the husky 455 ranger and they just burn out.I agree with useing expensive kit in the wrong place is wrong but... The only saw i have had is the husky362xp that has ever lasted and that did alot of brash munging on a 16"bar. Haveing been issued sthill 262 for work i had to stop useing it as it just rattled my hands to death and had about as much pop in it as a wet fart.I like my saws smooth and fast but the husky 560 is plain plastic trash and about as reliable as an efco. Its a shame as husky used to make nice saws but seem to have lost there way sumwhat. Have you any experience of the makitas seeing as you handle so many saws?
  14. not the M.O.T testers responsibility to report a ringer and they dont in my experiance..
  15. Ive had audi a4,seat leon toyota, mitsubish and subaru....all over priced. The diesel hyuandi i have is better on all counts and cost 1500quid for an 05 plate with all the toys and leather...thats cheap
  16. no matt i have a 25" on the 66 and have allways uesd large body saws on short bars.its the best way to make a saw last.a 441 with 16" bar is only stupid if your a poor operator like most.I use my 66 allday in the woods and love it.I just dont see the point in useing a toothpick as all they do is burn out fast especially when mashing down onocular habitat.
  17. why did jhon shuttler delete my post? oh ok then JS I have a hyuandi that is absolute junk but its so good it wont die.2.0d elantra is a vast wagon.....cheap fast and relialble.I hate the +++++++++ thing.even tho it does 50mpg allday.
  18. yep i just noticed that ....i would at a guess rekon i can make the 441 lighter with mods on a 16" bar and it will rev a bit higher. I got a 66 so dont need grunt just speed..
  19. they hear saws and soon appear....common.Just dont leave em about anymore.I know of a climber that left his saw at the base to go up and pulled up an empty rope also to see a ***** running across a field adjacent with saw and strop to a waiting van...
  20. yep i thought that.... my 362 was new in 2001 or so so did well.......i want to replace it with sumat again the like... i think i will go 441 with a 16" bar and hope it lasts... im 18stone and quite happily throw my 66 about...
  21. they just dont take the daily abuse i give em...tried a couple and i like the large sthils.my 66 is just lovely .looking at the handles on the huskys they seem a bit less robust on 800 quids worth.
  22. she dont like gloves....:001_tt2: says she cant feel the saw.
  23. crank case is cracked through bar mount bolts...tis dead zed allready sold the back handle fuel tank
