In side my kiln it can be above 70' but unless you can vent that hot humid air and replace it with clean air the wood wont dry
What you need is as much air flow as you can get

You will when you come to fill up
My job is to fill whats on the back, every one is welcome

It's a case of its about time for a upgrade to handle larger round wood , but it needs to be able to cut rings for 360 for netting ,

Hello
I had to make the plate in the pictures below to get over the back plate on my x37. I tryed the same idea on my x42 but the back plate is to high.
Do you have a picture of 42x chamber
Cheers

You can remove the splitting wedge on the 42 but your still left with the backing plate so no good for disks. I'm sure the 50 will be the same but not used one
Thanks for your reply
Is the backing plate the same height as the wedge or is it lower
Could a ramp be made like on 37x

Does anybody know if the splitting axe can be completely removed from the splitting chamber on either the 42x or 50x, leaving it clear to produce rings ???
Thanks in advance

it was bound to happen ,
everybody and there dog is trying to sell firewood these days and the only thing that happens is the price of firewood goes down ,its now cheaper than it was a couple of years ago,
for those of us that are in it for the long term i say its about time and get rid of the band wagon jumpers , just have a look on ebay at the amount of second hand processors that have done little work,
i have a friend who has just put in a gas/wood burner because it was cheaper/ cleaner / easier to look after
i think there will be a load of second hand wood burners for sale as well, when people see just how much wood they are burning
happy new year to you all

Broonies was over 100C as well, I hadnt imagined anyone doing it that hot, although its obviously going to be miles quicker. However it rather takes it out of the realms of an add on to a Log Gassifying boiler with a domestic heritage.
my kiln which recirculates can get up to 75c at the hottest point and 57c at the coolest both are core temp, on a 130kw biomass boiler it leaves the boiler at 86c+, which is also heating two cottages
you can see on the graph [all four probes] where the vents were open ,it slowly drops,
then the doors are opened, dry wood taken out [lowest temp]
[wet wood put it] doors closed temp rises then you can see were it vents
the straight lines are where the lap top goes to sleep,
all the probes are deep inside the stillages to get core temperature

Trouble with order's at this time of year is they're all stock orders,
It's when customers come in for second order you can find out how much is actually being used,
