Bought off eBay so don't know history, alarm bells rang when I noticed remains of two old workshop tag's
Anyhow second tank of fuel and it lost all compression,
Gonna strip it, but is there any tell tale signs of what caused it while taking it apart,
Put some pictures up later

Keep it well ventilated when fresh cut, can go back

Browns made one called a "log chop" originally made for fence posts or anything with nails in

There was one brought out beginning of last year, called a Tonka shavings machine,
Haven't heard anything about it since

'North East' Where billy??
Suggested a kindler to the boss but he thinks it could be easier bulk buying them in, in the future, rather than continuing doing it the 'pallet' way....
I have a kindlet bought it in 2003, still going strong,
When I first started doing kindling back in the 90s,
I used pallets
One flat back sherpa van full up with pallets would get you around 40 bags, and a day to strip them and cut them to length using a home made pallet press
Give me a shout if you need any kindling I have a customer that comes over from Durham

Thank you
That gives me an idea of how much capacity I'll need,
Any idea of how big the tanks are that are built into the king post on some models

Can anyone tell me what size oil tank I would need for a botex 560
Currently running on tractor hydraulics, want to put it back to pto pump like my old trailer but not sure how much it would need to hold,
Cheers

It is easy to overlook you are running a top spec. chip boiler, maintaining 60 deg. 24/7
Can you tell me is the 60 degree the water temperature going into the heat exchanger
Or the air temperature coming out of heat exchangers
Or is that a core temp from one of the stillages inside the kiln
Is th kiln constantly venting?
Reason I ask is I run a 20ft circulating kiln, which I can close down vents to raise inside temperature which can be done by raising the relative humidity controls which I have installed
At the moment it's running at 55 at heat exchanger end and 43 at far end
Rh is set at 55, which I will turn down as the drying time increases, it is venting about every five minutes
I've really enjoyed reading this post as information on drying is very sketchy

so what price are you selling your nets at then, my 40x56 are 5.99 retail and 3.00 + vat wholesale and I have been filling them steady since start of Nov.

If you have a £1,000 kitty, buy £1,000 worth of kindling wholesale. You will probably double you money easily for not doing much work at all.
For a £1000, I'll sell you some, but to be honest I'd rather sell you a £160 worth (100 nets) to begin with and see how you get on
Where you based?

That's mental for softwood. Up here mills are paying low £30's for Pine sawlogs. delivered in!!
In Scotland prices are more like
Hardwood roadside: £25 for oversized and £38-£45 for processor friendly stuff.
Softwood roadside: £14- £20
All plus vat and haulage.
You'll struggle to find good quality hardwood, it takes years to find the right contacts for that stuff.
Wonder what haulage would be down to west Cumbria
As softwoods high thirtys +vat delivered round here

Especially if know one else as received one in the same area???

Adjust the stops on the blade travel so it goes further forward, that should take up any wear in the blade.
Any pictures of what it's doing???
